Covering the Honeypot

May 25, 2012

Most of you are probably aware by now of the story broken by Indianapolis news station WTHR which exposed how illegal aliens are exploiting Individual Taxpayer Identification Numbers (ITINS) in order to take advantage of the Child Tax Credit, to the tune of billions of dollars each year. As you can see, it has created a firestorm that has reached the halls of Congress. Unfortunately, thanks to Senate Majority Leader Reid, this type of rampant fraud will not be addressed for the foreseeable future. Apparently, the pocketbooks of American taxpayers-just like employment opportunities for American citizens-come second to the political viability of Harry Reid.

To gain some perspective on just how pervasive these scams are, take a look at the revelations of people who worked for the IRS as it processed the fraudulent income tax returns of illegal aliens! Thanks once again to WTHR for this stunning expose. I just wish our ostensible leaders were responsible enough to recognize the consequences of their inaction.

The Rattlesnake Returns

May 25, 2012

American Rattlesnake has been down the past 36 hours.  We were hacked.

It ‘s been a pain in the keister getting back online, but now we’re back.  More details will be forthcoming, but right now us rattlesnake handlers are tired and we’re going to sleep.

We’ll keep up the good fight as long as you, our fellow patriotic Americans and other sympathetic souls, support us.  Sorry for the hickup, folks.

Vigilance is the price of liberty.  Sometimes you get lazy and you have to work extra hard to clean up the mess.

Abject Neglect

Abject Neglect

Our last post focused upon the government’s abdication of responsibility for the Monument and Horseshoe2 fires which devastated wide swathes of Arizona in 2011. Although all indications point to human responsibility-almost certainly at the hands of illegal aliens-the Forest Service refuses to place blame where it squarely belongs.

In order to illustrate the consequences of our government’s abandonment of border security, I’d like to present some pictures taken by our good friend Cindy Kolb-and her friend Mike-of that part of Arizona which was ravaged by these two horrific wildfires. You need look no further than the testimony of Forest Service officials in order to realize the consequences of these policies.  Read More »

Desert Visions

Desert Visions

As four separate wildfires devour the state of Arizona-burning more than 17,500 acres at last count-it’s instructive to look at how our government has handled its investigation into the two enormous ones which blazed a path of destruction across the state in 2011. According to the Arizona Daily Star, both the Horseshoe 2 and the Monument Fire were caused  by humans, which in the case of national forests invariably means illegal aliens and/or Mexican narco-traffickers nesting within wilderness cordoned off from American citizens. The tragedy, which should elicit anger and frustration in anyone concerned about the environment and the lives of law-abiding Arizonans, is that the Forest Service-the ostensible guardian of this land-has now recommended that investigations into both of these horrific fires be closed for lack of evidenceRead More »

The Case Against (Legal) Immigration

May 15, 2012

Update: My full live-tweet of David North’s speech is up.  Find it here.

Tomorrow night David North, of the Center for Immigration Studies, will deliver the last in a series of lectures sponsored by the Center for Immigration Studies and hosted by the Penn Club. With any luck I’ll be able to cover his talk, whose subject is the extremely important-and all but ignored-subject of legal immigration. You can view my thoughts-or react with your own-by following my Twitter account and replying @OddLane.

I look forward to the conversation.

The Esthetics of Occupy

May 13, 2012
The Esthetics of Occupy

The chalking you see above was one of the first signs I spotted of the organizing that was taking place inside of Bryant Park on May Day. Simplistic, but probably one of the more coherent artistic messages that I encountered as I traveled throughout lower and Midtown Manhattan on May 1st. Read More »

Justice For Jamiel

Justice For Jamiel

Even as California increasingly seems intent upon sinking into the abyss, there is some encouraging news to report from the Golden State. Most of you are familiar with the tragic story of Jamiel Shaw Jr., a bright, energetic young student-athlete from Los Angeles who was indiscriminately killed by a criminal alien while his mother was serving her country overseas. After four painful years of pursuing justice, the Shaw family can now take some comfort in the knowledge that the illegal alien gangbanger who murdered their son has been convicted by a California juryRead More »

What You Can Do

North Carolina and the Nation

August 10, 2012
North Carolina and the Nation

Over the past two years Americans have seen the issue of illegal immigration take center stage after being relegated to the periphery of national political debate for so many years.

The divided-and misleadingly named-Arizona vs. U.S. Supreme Court decision, which upheld one key enforcement provision of SB 1070 while invalidating others, the unilateral administrative amnesty which the Obama administration has used to bypass Congress, and the systematic abandonment of federal immigration law by individual states-including New York-have all brought the battle over American sovereignty to a head in this volatile election year.  Read More »

Stolen Lives

August 4, 2012

As most of you know, the tragedies caused by our government’s negligence in immigration enforcement are manifold. The victimes of illegal alien crime are nearly incalculable and grow by the hour.  That’s why the initiative created by proud Texan Maria Espinoza, The Stolen Lives Quilt, is so vital at this time. I’ll let Joanna Marzullo, of New York Ice, explain how you can view the quilt.   Read More »

Act Against The ATT

July 16, 2012

In a little over a week, Secretary of State Hillary Clinton will convene with other opponents of individual liberties under the umbrella of the Global Arms Trade Treaty (ATT). Although billed as a multinational effort to curb the proliferation of weapons used in conflicts like the insurrection in Syria or the turmoil in the Sahel, the actual goal-as explained by Wayne LaPierre in an illuminating speech to the United Nations-is to deprive individuals of their natural right to self defense and our  historical and biblical right to take up arms against tyrannical authority.

Although a majority of members of the United States Senate have already spoken out against the ATT, it’s imperative that we stiffen the spine of Congress, especially since its resistance to this administration’s unconstitutional acts has been sorely lacking. That’s why I urge you all to sign the petition against this treaty that is hosted on Dick Morris’s website.

Our rights are only protected to the extent that we’re willing to defend them. It’s time to stand up for them once again!

A Nightmarish Dream

June 20, 2012

With the Obama administration’s unilateral decision to ratify what up to this point had merely been a de facto amnesty-literally interpreting catch and release-and the cravenly insipid Republican response to the President’s latest patently unconstitutional power grab, patriotic Americans wouldn’t be blamed for feeling powerless when it comes to protecting their country.

Judicial intervention to restrain executive overreach seems highly unlikely, and the spigot for future illegal aliens continues to flow in the form of student and tourist visas, over 100,000 of them granted to our friends from Saudi Arabia-remember them-within a single week! Even so, there are ways of resisting the advances of those who would benefit from our country’s demise. Read More »
