The death of Arizona rancher Robert Krentz, who was most likely killed by an illegal alien coming over the Mexican border, served as the catalyst for the passage of SB 1070 and the ensuing nationwide debate over border security. Now the  Center for Immigration Studies has released its first Web-based film exploring the difficulties faced by Arizona ranchers living in the crosshairs of illegal human traffic from across our southern border.

Directed by Janice Kephart, A Day in the Life of an Arizona Rancher: Border Fences, Illegal Aliens, and One Man’s Watchtower, documents the life of Richard Humphries, a rancher faced with the challenges of maintaining his livelihood in one of the most precarious parts of the country at a time of extreme challenges and insufficient protection by federal law enforcement agencies tasked with controlling this nation’s border crossings.

I suggest you watch the film in its entirety. It’s an expression of the determination on the part of ordinary, patriotic Americans to protect their property and their country, even if their elected officials refuse to recognize the gravity of the problem that we currently face.
