Stand Up For American Citizens (Anti-May Day Protest)

Members of NY ICE at the DC March for Jobs

The treason lobby is sure to make itself heard later today in Union Square. Thankfully, members of patriotic immigration organizations like New Yorkers for Immigration Control and Enforcement will also be there to take a stand against policies like Mayor De Blasio’s plan to invest illegal aliens with breeder documents

Show the media that the most strident, irrational voices don’t represent the thinking of the millions of inhabitants of this great city!

I was at the NYC May Day Rally with the counter-protest group. We were placed on a small traffic triangle (between two busy streets) across the street from the main protest. We were advised to remain low-key and not cross the street, probably because of the number of arrests in previous years (the May Day groups can be violent).
Passers-by who paid attention asked why there were so many groups at the rally that were actually in opposition to each other: communist/socialist and black anarchist flags included. Good question; no good answer.
Although we were forbidden to cross the street into the rally, several May Day members came over and tried to start arguments. And then two from the Anarchists’ group ran over, threw an American flag at our feet, and proceeded to kick it along the sidewalk in front of the members of our counter-protest.
Only AM New York, one of two free newspapers, covered the event. They used a low-angle photo which cropped out all the anti-US flags and banners, and the “story” was along the lines of what a wonderful gathering of ethnic diversity it was. To anyone who was actually there, it wasn’t.
I’m very glad to have attended the counter-protest, but it worries me that the actual opinions of US citizens against amnesty for illegal aliens is being ignored. And that fictitious news reports, like that in AM New York, have become commonplace.

Thanks for the update, Kurt! I did see a photo of a man waving a Soviet flag during the protests in one of the papers that covered the events-unfortunately, I can’t recall the name. I’ll try to post more information about the counter-demonstration before the weekend is out. Glad you were able to show your solidarity with other patriotic American citizens, even if the media was AWOL, as usual.
