Because they dissemble, selectively omit, distort, and propagandize time and time, and time, again. Personally, I love this billboard, and have always agreed with our good friend William McGowan, re: lamentable tendencies among the mainstream press corps, especially regarding the issue of national sovereignty. However, I’m acutely aware that my political philosophy falls well outside the norm of what ordinary New Yorkers regard as “decent” opinion. What do regular John and Jane Does living on the Upper West Side or Flatiron District think about this bold display of unconventional thinking?
