Today, of course, is the day 0n which we honor those who have served with this nation’s Armed Forces in defense of this country during war-time and times of peace. Originally intended to mark the armistice that ended the First World War, in 1954 President Eisenhower enlarged the holiday to encompass all of this nation’s veterans. We at American Rattlesnake would like to extend our gratitude to all the men and woman who have served in uniform over the years. For some perspective on what it means to serve, I’d recommend reading a great column by Kurt Schlicter, a veteran of Operation Enduring Freedom and Operation Desert Storm.
