Get ready for a civil war between states who harbor and abet ILLEGAL ALIENS and those who do not wish to dilute their society, economy, and education with them. When our government and officials openly defy the rule of law, use public funds, and put non-citizens ahead of their own and LEGAL IMMIGRANTS, it is time for a radical change. Revolution anyone?

The Dream Act is a violation of every citizen’s rights to Life, Liberty and Pursuit of Happiness. Citizens forced into paying the tab of illegal’s college education is not just unfair, it is un-American. We are the laughing stock of the world. Why should illegal kids get free education and graduate without any student loans, or families burdened by loans when they are just struggling now trying to make ends meet. Time to stop the madness. Vote Democrats out of Sacramento and DC!

I found this on another website like this one.

Federal Law Title 8, Chapter 14, Sec. 1623 states:

“an alien who is not lawfully present in the United States shall not be eligible on the basis of residence within a State… for any postsecondary education benefit unless a citizen or national of the United States is eligible for such a benefit.”

Yup, that was one of the key provisions of the Illegal Immigration Control Act. Unfortunately, I have to see a court willing to enforce it, which considering how much the decks are stacked against American citizens, shouldn’t come as a surprise.

if jerry signs the bill and becomes the law, can we take it to the courts to stop this bill as unconstitutional to AMERICANS. What is the next step to us AMERICANS now, and can gil cedillo be deported as a traitor to this Country, clearly he is not representing
    Americans…

This state and our country is so out of whack in what our representative’s think their constituent’s need and want. I don’t know if it is because most of us are to lazy to get envolved or just think someone else will do it for us. To give away our hard earned money to illegal aliens be it mexican, asian, german or any other nationality over and above our own legal citizen’s is positively the most outlandish, crazy, unamierican thing I can think of. WHAT CAN WE DO? WAKE UP AMERICANS…WHO VOTED THESE REP’S – LAW MAKERS INTO POWER. READ BEFORE YOU PUT YOUR X IN THE BOX

California is a lost cause. I’ve lived here most of my life and it’s gone from shady to completely corrupt. The political leaders in this state are very arrogant; so arrogant that they know the majority of Californians are opposed to this ill-contrived AB131 bill but in narcissistic defiance, these clowns will continue to push this bill through. I don’t believe in conspiracy theories or this is their way to subvert California’s economy. I think these clowns truly don’t know better and their ideology and fanatacism convinces them that this is the right path. It’s a total waste. The fruits of the poisonous tree is such that the offspring of the poisonous tree will suffer the indiscretions of their parents. Their parents chose to break the law so the consequences shall be bestowed upon their children. That is deterrence. We should not reward law breakers.

This is not complicated, we PROTEST by not paying our taxes. File exempt with your payroll administrator. It is the ONLY VOTE we have that those in Sacramento will understand. Short of protesting on the steps it is our only HOPE to change this CORRUPT California state government.

For the record, I’ve already paid for illegal children to be educated in my schools — many of whom are on the free lunch program and get a free bus ride to school. Because I work for my money (and worked for my college education) I pay for my children’s lunches and take them to school. Please do explain to me why I pay for the things that illegals get for free. I would also like a free bus ride to school for my children — I would also like free lunches. School lunches cost $3.25 per day. Multiply that by my two children over the course of the school year, and that would mean a total of $1,170.00 back in my pocket.

This year, we were asked to pay $250.00 per child as a donation to my children’s elementary to cover gaps in the budget — we are also asked to donate approximately two hours per week to the school. Without each parent donating of themselves and their time, my children’s school would go without resources for music, computers, teacher aids and even janitorial services. For the record, I pay too many taxes to live in an overpriced, too small house just to be in this school district and ours is a very good school with a lot of caring parents who donate their time and money to give our children better than the government would provide. That is my DREAM and I am working hard and sacrificing to give it to my children.

So why are we REWARDING illegals for managing to stay under the radar in our country long enough to graduate HIgh School?

Nobody is stopping illegal students from getting a student visa and paying out of state tuition to attend CA schools — the same as any other non-U.S. student would be able to do. California colleges recruit from out-of-state, if they want to stay they should pay the correct price tag for someone who doesn’t legally reside in CA.

What are illegals going to do with a college degree when they graduate? It’s not like they can legally get a job in this country. Are we educating people so they can take their degrees back to their country of origin?

Loans are paid directly to the applicant – which means we are giving illegals our tax dollars in cold, hard cash. They can go buy bubblegum with it for all we know and default on the loan and disappear. What assurances do we have that these loans will even be repaid?

So when these kids get legal status, who bets they are now going to sponsor their illegal parents to stay here legally. This is basically creating grown-up anchor babies. Again, a reward for those who have broken our laws.

Last, but not least, you are offering these kids a “DREAM” in exchange for putting their lives on the line for a country that isn’t theirs and they get no benefits from? Despicable.

I don’t see any upside of this for anyone except ILLEGALS. I have lived many years abroad and my husband is European and you can believe when we got married and moved back to the U.S. we MORE than had to prove everything about him/ourselves — financial status, health status, etc., to get him residency. I might add it wasn’t cheap. The government pocketed a fair sum of money from an AMERICAN in order for my husband and our two AMERICAN children to live here together. If you want to know who has NO tolerance for this nonsense? It’s the LEGAL immigrants who worked hard to get here the right way.

I know what the AMERICAN DREAM is. It’s working hard and paying your dues to get ahead. That’s what we should teach. Not some silly game of hide-and-seek where you manage avoid deportation until you’re 18 – then you can jump on the DREAM bandwagon.

18 is the age of an ADULT. We all live with the choices good and bad that our parents made in raising us. None of us got a pocket full of money to make all the bad things go away. What about the American children of criminals? Do they get some sort of sponsorship? Their parents made bad choices that the children live with — maybe they spent life behind bars and can’t provide a college education for their kids? I still don’t see anyone giving those American kids a college education.

I’ll go one step further, I have no idea why you don’t have to prove citizenship to be in our public schools. Imagine all the resources your tax dollars would buy for your kids if the illegals weren’t in the classrooms diverting them. We PAY to teach their kids English in our schools. WHat better carrot at the end of the stick than knowing that if you manage to get here illegally, your children will attend our schools for free while you are out earning illegal dollars. If you think this goes on in other countries you are sadly mistaken.

We don’t have enough to go around in this country. I am very proud that my two sons have been identified as GATE (Gifted & Talented) students. But the budgets for the GATE program have been slashed. What does that say about what California thinks about its best and brightest? It says to me that it cares more about those who are here illegally.

We MUST take care of our own first. I simply cannot and do not want to provide for the criminals next door. I promise you , they aren’t writing the $500.00 check I wrote this year to my PUBLIC school. My children are entitled to a PUBLIC education — not a semi-private education where I write the checks so the illegals get the free ride.

I will be blunt, the problem with you Tea Party types is that you are plenty angry but just plain old dumb. I agree that the problem has to be addressed, we have to remove as many illegals as possible. But the Dream Act is the wrong target, it does not attract illegal immigration, it allows young illegals that have been here a long time, graduated from a CA high school and are going on to college to get aid. Hey, wake up, these are kids that are going to asked to stay no matter what, whenever they resolve this at the federal level these will be people they want to give citizenship. Which is fine, they are an asset. They are here forever, THEY ARE OUR FUTURE, don’t damage their educations. The Dream Act really has nothing to do with illegal immigration, it is just a quick fix for a select group.

Target the real problem, what you should be after is E-verify, THE STATE JUST MADE IT ILLEGAL FOR GOVERNMENTS TO USE E-VERIFY, a silent major victory for the illegal lobby and misguided Americans who support them for racial identity reasons. Unbelievable, e-verify should be mandatory for every employer. That and bring in Arizona / Alabama restrictions, the ones that are effective (and aren’t just mean). Quit hating illegals, they are just desperate people looking for better, it is a human problem. Just make it difficult for them to live here and very difficult to work here.

    • Marie on November 1, 2011 at 5:16 AM

I agree that E-Verify should be mandatory in all states, however, I take issue with your blindness to the damaging effects of the Dream Act. I proudly identify as a “Tea Party” type, and I can assure you that I am not dumb. I’m an ivy league alum and an attorney. The Dream Act is unquestionably a magnet for illegals. It should be targeted by any clear thinking patriot who is tired of paying taxes only to see American money support social services and education for people who should NOT be here. The Dream Act is absurd. Why are we paying to educate people who cannot legally work in this country? How are these people our “future”? Are we assuming that this continuously failing, increasingly unpopular administration will be able to pass some sort of amnesty. NO chance. Then what? Hire college educated illegals so more Americans are unemployed? The Dream Act is a waste and serves as just another liberal insult to American citizens.
