For this nation’s future, if nothing else. Bob Goodlatte has been flip flopping at a ferocious clip recently-even for a politician almost entirely devoid of principles-but don’t think for a moment that he isn’t trying to fulfill the wishes of the cheap labor lobby. A new report by the National Foundation For American Policy explains how Rep. Goodlatte’s “compromise” would legalize six and a half million illegal aliens, at the very least. The New York Times, oddly enough, has a lengthy blog post about this report, which I urge you to read in its entirety.

The idea that the open borders lobby has slackened its campaign to enact full scale amnesty, or that the Republican proposals for slightly smaller amnesties are in any way acceptable, needs to be fully and forcefully refuted. Hopefully, this report will awaken more of the American public to the dire situation we’re facing with this session of Congress.
