Robert Menendez – American-Rattlesnake http://american-rattlesnake.org Immigration News, Analysis, and Activism Sat, 21 Oct 2017 13:54:57 +0000 en-US hourly 1 https://wordpress.org/?v=4.7.6 All Politics Is Local (The Daily Rattle) http://american-rattlesnake.org/2017/03/all-politics-is-local-the-daily-rattle/ http://american-rattlesnake.org/2017/03/all-politics-is-local-the-daily-rattle/#respond Wed, 08 Mar 2017 17:34:53 +0000 http://american-rattlesnake.org/?p=24718

-We begin today’s rattle with an interesting story about an Indian-or Muslim, depending upon PR needs of the open borders squad-athlete who was ushered into this country by our very own Senator Chuck Schumer. Unfortunately, this gifted sportsman is also a sex offender. Perhaps this isn’t quite as bad as having an alien interning for your office who is also a registered sex offender, but it does make you question the collective wisdom of our Democratic friends in Congress. Maybe we shouldn’t be taking their advice, vis-a-vis, controversial immigration decisions made by the Executive branch.

-In a reminder that there are actually rational people living in The People’s Republic of Vermont, the voters of Rutland have just turned out their incumbent mayor, Chris Louras, after he attempted to deluge their town with Muslim refugees from Syria and Iraq. While ignoring the public’s deep discontent with our government’s refugee resettlement programs-when not imputing racism and bigotry to Americans who express reservations about these schemes-is the norm, even the alternative weekly was forced to concede the enormous political consequences of this decision.

-For those of you who were wondering whatever happened to the thousands of unaccompanied minors who were allowed to enter into this country, wonder no more. According to an in-depth backgrounder from the Center for Immigration Studies, our government has absolutely no clue what it’s doing. While over 80 percent of their sponsors are illegal aliens, 44 percent of the UACs in question were ordered deported. Have the vast majority of these children been deported? Of course not, silly!

-You may ask yourself, “Why is this important?” It’s a good question. After all, it’s not as if these individuals will bring brutal Central American inter-gang warfare to the placidity of our nation’s suburbs, right? Well, I have some bad news for you on that score. It turns out that Latin American gangs, including MS-13, one of the most prolific and ruthless criminal networks in the Western Hemisphere, has actually established a pretty firm beachhead in our own backyard. Naturally, almost all of these gangbangers are criminal aliens. In an ironic twist, the moniker of the man who made an abortive attempt to unify the Mara Salvatrucha within the United States is, you guessed it, Dreamer.

-For those of you who think Europe’s approach to immigration is any less self-defeating and preposterous than the United States, I give you France. A nation where municipal authorities in Calais are attempting to prevent thousands of migrants from recreating the notorious refugee camp known as The Jungle. The biggest proponents of turning The Camp of the Saints into reality are, of course, other Europeans who believe Western civilization is uniquely evil. The ostensible plight of migrants from the third world is simply a cudgel with which the Gramscian left-with the help of corporate bean counters-can beat native Europeans into submission.

-After all, what are a few dozen, or a few hundred, honor killings in the grand scheme of things? Is the systemic dehumanization and murder of girls in nations which were responsible for the idea of religious toleration and freedom of conscience too high a price to pay for erecting the beautiful mosaic? When bad whites are saying intemperate, obnoxious things about people who are off-white, doesn’t that negate their entire philosophical worldview?  Even if that perspective is confirmed multiple times every single day?

-Everyone knows that the real reason millions of Muslims across the world support ISIS, Al Qaeda, and similar jihadist networks is because there isn’t enough inclusion in Hollywood casting decisions. See, the real villain isn’t Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi. It’s those bastards who refused to green light an all-Muslim reboot of Star Trek!

-The cognitive dissonance at work in the mind of an an open borders leftist must be overpowering. They want to live in a high-trust, quasi-collectivist techno-utopia-along the lines of something created by Gene Roddenberry-yet simultaneously support policies which make this already far-fetched goal virtually impossible. The mentality of a social justice warrior in high dudgeon can be found in this VICE piece, which laments the role homeless shelters have been playing in the deportation of migrants. The traditional liberal concern for the working class and the poor is discarded when it conflicts with the categorical imperative, i.e. preserving diversity. The spiritual hollowness and intellectual vapidity of this type of leftist ‘thinking’ was brilliantly and caustically skewered by George Orwell nearly a century ago. It’s good to know that some things haven’t changed all that much.

-I’d like to leave you on a good note, so here’s some refreshing news to come out of Austria. 8 Iraqi men have been convicted of the gang rape of a tourist. Unlike the Middle Eastern cab driver in Halifax who was, to all intents and purposes, high-fived by a Nova Scotia judge for raping an unconscious passenger, these rapists were actually given (relatively) stiff prison sentences. What’s more, we’ve discovered that these horrific incidents actually constitute an anomaly within the Islamic immigrant community.

Migrants and refugees from other countries expressed concern that the crime will make Austrians hostile toward all newcomers.

“Eight people raping a woman — that’s honor-less! Such a thing doesn’t exist in our religion,” Burhan Akbas, a migrant from Turkey, said.

“When such people come here and screw up like that, then everybody will think that Chechens, Afghans, all refugees from war areas are all the same,” Mansur Salamou, an asylum-seeker from Chechnya, said. “But it’s not like that. For example, the majority of us — we also cause problems, commit crimes. But no rape! Only criminal assaults and robberies.”

See, Europeans?! You only have to worry about being assaulted and robbed by the millions of North African and Middle Eastern refugees and migrants making their way towards Europe. What a relief.

Honest Bob http://american-rattlesnake.org/2015/04/honest-bob/ http://american-rattlesnake.org/2015/04/honest-bob/#respond Thu, 02 Apr 2015 04:32:41 +0000 http://american-rattlesnake.org/?p=18745 220px-Robert_Menendez,_official_Senate_photo

Robert Menendez’s “I am not a crook” presser, following his indictment by the Justice Department, pretty much ran to form, including his personal Hispandering simultaneous translation en Español. One of the underreported ironies of this story is the fact that some of the charges revolve around a scheme whereby the Soprano State’s Senator demanded visas for his benefactor’s foreign girlfriends. Open borders zealotry-masked as compassionate advocacy, naturally-and naked self-interest are almost always intertwined, although never remarked upon by a deficient news media eager to highlight the existential plight of illegal aliens.

Whether Senator Melendez’s eventual replacement-like his predecessors, I doubt he will emerge from this scandal unscathed-will be as receptive to criminal alien sex offenders remains to be seen, but you can be assured that he or she will most likely be devoted to the same warped principles regarding immigration and border control. And the press corps will continue to manipulate the news cycle in order to obfuscate the matter. The citizens of New Jersey, of course, will be all the poorer for it, as Mr. Melendez’s escapades illustrate.

Stop The Gang Of Eight http://american-rattlesnake.org/2013/05/stop-the-gang-of-eight/ http://american-rattlesnake.org/2013/05/stop-the-gang-of-eight/#respond Tue, 28 May 2013 20:29:48 +0000 http://american-rattlesnake.org/?p=15188 Notwithstanding the musings of Senator Robert Menendez-a man whose employment of an illegal alien sex offender illustrates the perils of leaving immigration to the discretion of this administration-the amnesty crafted by the Gang of Eight remains on course for passage by a majority of the U.S. Senate. Continued impoverishment and unemployment for Americans is just one of consequences of this bill, should it be enacted into law. Thankfully, there are many conservatives-who speak not only for themselves or the profit motive of their benefactors, but the majority sentiment of Americans-who have taken a courageous stance against this preventable disaster.

The antidote to Chuck Schumer Republicanism can be found in a coalition of conservative activists opposing this bill that have created a site to voice their views, Stop The Gang Of Eight. You can add your name to the voices of opposition by signing their petition decrying S. 744. Let’s turn that voice in the wilderness into a raging clamor to defend the rights and interests of Americans.

NY ICE Protest In Jersey City http://american-rattlesnake.org/2013/04/ny-ice-protest-in-jersey-city/ http://american-rattlesnake.org/2013/04/ny-ice-protest-in-jersey-city/#respond Tue, 09 Apr 2013 18:14:36 +0000 http://american-rattlesnake.org/?p=13794

April 6, 2013, Jersey City, NJ.  NY ICE and their supporters counter-protested the push for legislative amnesty in Liberty Park, Jersey City.

The above footage is from that Jersey City counter-protest.

The footage will show Jersey police ushering NY ICE away from where they were standing, but the area was a public park. A NY ICer can be heard repeatedly saying, “But I’m an American Citizen”.

The policeman says, “I’m doing my job”.

Umm…excuse me…isn’t a cop’s job to uphold the law?  And, isn’t an illegal alien trespasser breaking it?  So, in effect, the cop is telling an American citizen, who has a right to be in a public park, to leave, so that illegal alien trespassers can stay?

And this part is almost funny:  The whole scene transpires to the lyrics of the song “Jump on It” that is being blasted by the illegals’ sound system.  So, yeah, they “jumped on it”, or rather, over and under and through, our borders and immigration system, and this cop is handcuffed to doing anything about it, except tell peaceful American Citizens to move.

NY ICE did receive some mainstream Press from this Counter Protest. Here is the link to that article, with our quotes appearing towards the end.

Labor Pains http://american-rattlesnake.org/2013/01/labor-pains/ http://american-rattlesnake.org/2013/01/labor-pains/#comments Thu, 10 Jan 2013 05:21:01 +0000 http://american-rattlesnake.org/?p=13404

With the resignation of Labor Secretary Hilda Solis, it’s instructive to take a brief look over the Obama administration’s  labor policy priorities these past four years. Although the prime objectives of organized labor, such as the enactment of card check legislation, never saw the light of day during President Obama’s first term, labor unions did achieve some significant administrative victories. What’s more, the battle over labor regulations and law-both executive and legislative-was a focal point of national political discussion leading up to the 2012 presidential election.

What did not attract as much notice, unfortunately, was the systemic dismantling of immigration enforcement, especially during the last two years of Barack Obama’s first term, which arguably will have a significant impact upon the American economy in the years ahead. Even though I continue to believe that the negative consequences of mass immigration-especially of the largely unskilled sort we’ve seen since the 1965 Immigration Act-can’t be reduced to mere economic concerns, the cumulative cost of this wave includes a significant economic impact.

In addition to taxing already overburdened social welfare programs-to say nothing of the public education, criminal justice and health care distribution systems-the hundreds of thousands of low skilled immigrants we accept every year often displace the most economically insecure Americans, including some of the President’s most reliable political supporters.

Barack Obama’s immigration and labor policies seem designed to exacerbate the latter problem, a view confirmed by looking at recent job gains, which seem to have accrued solely to the benefit of immigrant workers. The tenure of Secretary Solis dovetailed nicely with this agenda, which included international agreements protecting the labor rights of illegal aliens from Latin American nations. While ensuring that workers are paid a wage rate consonant with the laws of the land is an admirable stance, one wonders why this administration did not deem it worthy of its ambition to deport these  workers, who-like their employers-are breaking the law.

It’s not as if these individuals are unknown to federal immigration officials. After all, Solis visited illegal day laborers in this very borough in the aftermath of Hurricane Sandy. However, holding illegal aliens accountable for their actions seems to be inimical to the political needs of the President and his political machine, which has expanded the vast administrative amnesty that has existed for the past two years to encompass everyone he or Janet Napolitano deems to be non-threatening, including virtually everyone who can feign interest in being a student and those who’ve committed multiple misdemeanors, i.e. criminals.

Like the highly politicized distribution of economic stimulus funds, this administration’s labor and immigration policies are not designed with the interests of Americans in mind so much as the best results for itself and its political and financial benefactors. Although Hilda Solis set a pretty low bar to clear, if past is prologue don’t expect her successor to be much of an improvement.

Breaking The Law http://american-rattlesnake.org/2012/12/breaking-the-law/ http://american-rattlesnake.org/2012/12/breaking-the-law/#respond Mon, 17 Dec 2012 05:38:25 +0000 http://american-rattlesnake.org/?p=13220

One of the hallmarks of the Obama administration throughout its first term has been deception. The compulsion of the President and his surrogates to deny, obfuscate, and blatantly deceive the press corps, their political opponents-even, on occasion, their political allies-and the American public is beyond dispute. That Barack Obama is willing to stand behind his attorney general, despite the fact that he has dissembled repeatedly before Congress and the public, in some cases about deliberate actions which have led to the murder of hundreds of innocent Mexican civilians and several American immigration and Border Patrol agents, testifies to how little he values accountability or transparency in government.

For those who might have thought this tendency would dissipate in the President’s second term, you need only look at the criminal coverup involving one of Barack Obama’s close political allies, Senator Robert Menendez, to be disabused of this hope. It really shouldn’t surprise anyone that an administration which has no respect for the rule of law would abet lawlessness on Capitol Hill as well as in the White House. The non-enforcement of immigration law is now being applied to criminal aliens who are sex offenders, at least if they happen to work in the office of one of President Obama’s political allies. Apparently, the Department of Homeland Security’s protection of sex offenders extends beyond the TSA.

As this New York Daily News article illustrates, the chief response of Robert Menendez to the arrest of his unpaid, illegal, sex criminal intern was, naturally, to bang the drum for a further expansion of Barack Obama’s unconstitutional evasions of immigration law such as DACA and administrative amnesty. Unfortunately,  Senator Menendez can’t be deported, having been born in New York City. Therefore, New Jerseyans will be stuck with him for the next six years.

The conference call between DREAM Act sponsors and DREAM Act supporters, which I mentioned in my last activism update, occurred last night. You can download the entire conversation here.

There’s not much groundbreaking news to be gleaned, but it’s always good to be well-informed of what your opponents are up to, especially in such dire matters as these.

DREAM Act Links http://american-rattlesnake.org/2010/12/dream-act-links/ http://american-rattlesnake.org/2010/12/dream-act-links/#respond Tue, 07 Dec 2010 05:17:26 +0000 http://american-rattlesnake.org/?p=1460 Some good discussions about the DREAM Act have occurred lately, most of which I’ll try to hit in this post.

A very good Bloggingheads debate between Mark Krikorian, head of the Center for Immigration Studies, and an SEIU spokesperson who supports amnesty.

One of my favorite talk radio hosts, Laura Ingraham, taking the former Speaker of the House, Newt Gingrich, to task for his hypocritical support of DREAM.

Our friend Marinka Peschmann, who I’ve mentioned before on this site, has some great reasons why Congress should reject the DREAM Act.

Mickey Kaus, as always, has his foot on the pedal when it comes to reporting on the underhanded machinations of those people who claim to represent us. One of the chief reasons the open borders lobby hasn’t been successful in enacting its agenda these past two years is due no small part to the tireless work of Mr. Kaus.
