Independence Day

Today marks the 240th anniversary of the moment America officially cleaved itself from its colonial master, Great Britain. Although there are a number of ways to commemorate this occasion, I would suggest learning more about the events which led up to this momentous historical decision. To that end, you can peruse my recommended reading list here.

However, I am not the only one celebrating this nation’s most important civic holiday. The New York City Indie Republicans will be holding a reading and discussion of America’s cornerstone document this Friday from 6 PM to 9 PM. Learn why this holiday is so important, not only to Americans but to individuals everywhere looking to assert their natural rights. You can find all of the details, as well as RSVP, on their Meetup page.
