In news that’s sure to leave at least 0.5% of the Republican Party faithful crestfallen, Senator Lindsey Graham has decided to bow out of the race for the White House. A good measuring stick of how terrible an officeholder or candidate is-as a legislator or a human being-is how effusively he or she is praised by the editorial page of the New York Times. However, receiving accolades from any columnist working for The Guardian is another great indicator of general unfitness for high office. Aside from John McCain-Graham’s Dr. Evil-and leftist broadsheets, there don’t seem to be many mourning the departure of this particular candidate from a contest already overpopulated with open borders, interventionist, liberal Republicans.
Maybe Mr. Graham should have listened to his constituents.
