While Senator Sessions and a handful of congressmen are struggling to publicize this administration’s defiance of the Constitution and the rule of law, the open borders demagogues and hispanderers continue to press Barack Obama to go even further in his campaign to erase any existing effective border and immigration controls. You need look no further than the official website of the chief instigator in his party’s House caucus in order to understand what’s happening in Washington D.C. and what awaits us after the November elections.
Coupled with the Department of Homeland Security’s capitulation to the ACLU, which will welcome thousands of illegal aliens back to this country, it seems that there is no desire among federal officials to stem the tide of illegal immigration into this country, notwithstanding intense public opposition to this politically-motivated project. Whether or not the wisdom of Jeff Sessions will rub off on the rest of the Republican Party remains to be seen, but if history is any guide, there’s not much room for optimism.
