Corruption In High Places http://american-rattlesnake.org/2014/08/corruption-in-high-places/ http://american-rattlesnake.org/2014/08/corruption-in-high-places/#comments Sun, 24 Aug 2014 20:19:39 +0000 G. Perry http://american-rattlesnake.org/?p=17577 David Aguilar, Chief of the U.S. Border Patrol 2005- This image or file is a work of a United States Department of Homeland Security employee, taken or made during the course of an employee's official duties. As a work of the U.S. federal government, the image is in the public domain.

There’s nothing that defines this administration as much as its lack of transparency, and its handling of immigration policy is no exception to this rule. Which is why we recommend reading the account by the Center for Investigative Reporting of James F. Tomsheck’s explosive allegations regarding corruption within the bureaucracy of U.S. Customs and Border Protection. Of particular interest to our readers is the complicity of pro-amnesty Obama flunky David Aguilar, the current head of CBP, in perpetuating this deplorable situation.

The fact that the man entrusted with facilitating the President’s unlawful amnesty would disregard clear violations in his agency is not surprising, nor is the lack of responsiveness to these credible allegations. In fact, in an unprecedented move, the majority of the federal government’s inspectors general have sent a letter to Congress asking it to help them deal with this administration’s continued obstruction of their investigations into government corruption and potential criminality.

As Jonatan Turley has pointed out repeatedly, this White House is conducting its affairs in the manner of  an imperial presidency. And, as we all know, the divine right of kings does not allow for oversight, let alone scrutiny into the actions of a sovereign. Someone needs to remind the President that we live in a constitutional republic.

Criminal Negligence http://american-rattlesnake.org/2014/04/criminal-negligence/ http://american-rattlesnake.org/2014/04/criminal-negligence/#comments Wed, 09 Apr 2014 21:53:59 +0000 G. Perry http://american-rattlesnake.org/?p=16970 450px-Jeff_Sessions_official_portrait

Most of you are well aware of the fact that this administration, despite its repeated attempts to airbrush its blemishes, has an absolutely atrocious record of immigration enforcement. However, a recent report documents just how negligent the federal government has been in ensuring the safety of American citizens. Nearly 70,000 criminal aliens have been released into the general population of the United States in the last year alone, according to an internal document from the Department of Homeland Security!

Not surprisingly, the mainstream media has failed to report on yet another milestone in this White House’s campaign to completely dismantle the safeguards which protect the American public from crime, disease, and terrorism, among other gifts brought to us out of love. Thankfully, Senator Sessions is here to remind us of Barack Obama’s willingness prioritize his open borders ideology over the security of his fellow Americans.

You can read the full report here. Thanks once again to FAIR and the gentleman from Alabama for highlighting the continued disregard this administration has for federal law and the American people. At least some people are paying attention.

Republican Voters vs. Republican Politicians http://american-rattlesnake.org/2014/03/republican-voters-vs-republican-politicians/ http://american-rattlesnake.org/2014/03/republican-voters-vs-republican-politicians/#comments Sat, 22 Mar 2014 14:48:24 +0000 G. Perry http://american-rattlesnake.org/?p=16887 Rep._Renee_Ellmers

As the White House contemplates an expansion of its constitutionally dubious administrative amnesty, it’s worth taking a look at how the treason lobby’s Republican accomplices are dealing with the public’s repudiation of their most cherished legislative priority, i.e. opening the spigot to an endless stream of cheap, imported labor. A particularly revealing exchange happened a week or so ago on the Laura Ingraham Show during an interview with faux conservative Rep. Renee Ellmers, a woman who ran for Congress under the banner of the Tea Party.

Instead of listening to the concerns expressed by her constituents on the subject of immigration reform, i.e. amnesty,  however, she has decided to throw in her lot with the one of the most lavishly-funded, dense Capitol Hill lobbying networks. Which might explain why Tamar Jacoby and her allies are rallying around the embattled congresswoman even as conservative North Carolinians seek viable alternatives to the complacent incumbent.

While the Republican Party leadership doesn’t get it, Republican voters understand the necessity of preventing the implementation of another amnesty for which the GOP will (rightly) be held culpable. An amnesty that will make the election of candidates like Renee Ellmers an impossibility in the near future, something that open borders Republicans like her don’t seem to grasp.

The Economics Of Immigration http://american-rattlesnake.org/2013/12/the-economics-of-immigration/ http://american-rattlesnake.org/2013/12/the-economics-of-immigration/#comments Tue, 03 Dec 2013 07:54:19 +0000 G. Perry http://american-rattlesnake.org/?p=16487 One of the depressingly familiar truths about immigration debates in this country-as well as most other liberal democracies in the West-is the inability to gain any useful information from  what should ostensibly be a valuable resource, i.e. the mainstream news media. Instead of critically examining the salient facts about the massive sociological experiment we embarked upon five decades ago, we’re treated to an intellectually sterile monologue which is worse than useless; it is actually misleading and destructive

That is why we should rejoice whenever someone who actually has a thorough, well-grounded understanding of this subject contributes to the public discourse. Such is the case with Harvard professor George Borjas, the nation’s foremost economist when it comes to examining the economic and fiscal impact of large scale migration to the United States. Even though Immigration Economics won’t be published until next summer, it’s worth considering the potentially crippling economic consequences of the legislative amnesty the open borders caucus is currently trying to force through Congress.

We are already experiencing the fallout from another hastily enacted, gargantuan bill which was rushed into law by a partisan majority-heedless of the consequences-let’s not rush headlong into yet another economically ruinous piece of legislation simply because it carries the endorsement of the chattering classes.

Your Government At Work http://american-rattlesnake.org/2013/09/your-government-at-work/ http://american-rattlesnake.org/2013/09/your-government-at-work/#comments Sat, 07 Sep 2013 04:59:25 +0000 G. Perry http://american-rattlesnake.org/?p=16148 U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) officers going aboard a ship to examine cargo in May 2004. Author: James Tourtellotte, U.S. Governement

It’s not pretty.

And open borders enthusiasts wonder why the American public is reluctant to embrace this administration’s comprehensive amnesty. Endemic corruption-which predates the arrival of Barack Obama in the White House-utter contempt for Constitutional and legal limitations, and a staggering inability among enforcement agencies to perform the basic functions under its purview are merely the most obvious reasons why the Gang of Eight monstrosity-or any bill remotely similar in structure-should be resoundingly rejected by this Congress.

In order to understand why we are treading such a perilous path all you need do is turn the front page of your local newspaper, turn on your televisionperuse the Web, and open your eyes.

Illegal immigration, and our government’s enablement of criminal aliens on our soil, is serious business.

Shut Out Of The Job Market http://american-rattlesnake.org/2013/08/shut-out-of-the-job-market/ http://american-rattlesnake.org/2013/08/shut-out-of-the-job-market/#comments Thu, 08 Aug 2013 16:26:03 +0000 G. Perry http://american-rattlesnake.org/?p=16071

The forces behind the worst piece of immigration legislation since the 1986 Immigration Reform and Control Act are hard at work. It’s time that patriotic citizens began to resist the elites’ drive to immiserate the American public and burden future generations with incalculable debts. Start asking questions, and  start demanding that your congressman explain why he or she is supporting the Ryan-Rubio-Schumer fiasco.  Bipartisan isn’t a synonym for good.

Kill The Bill http://american-rattlesnake.org/2013/07/15905/ http://american-rattlesnake.org/2013/07/15905/#comments Sat, 20 Jul 2013 17:19:53 +0000 G. Perry http://american-rattlesnake.org/?p=15905

Far be it from me to praise National Review-especially the feckless leadership of its current editor-in-chief-but when it’s right, it’s right.

U.S. President Barack Obama is greeted by Speaker of the House John Boehner before delivering the 2011 State of the Union Address. Author: Pete Souza

And in this case, NR is absolutely correct. John Boehner-never a profile in courage-needs to be reminded why he is the Speaker of the House. Here’s a clue: it’s not to fulfill the wish list of La Raza and the Democratic Party. Tell him and his deputies to KILL THE BILL, because that’s the only way the Republican Party-and the nation-will be able to dig itself out of the hole we find ourselves in.

Replaceable Americans http://american-rattlesnake.org/2013/07/replaceable-americans-2/ http://american-rattlesnake.org/2013/07/replaceable-americans-2/#comments Sat, 13 Jul 2013 20:46:25 +0000 G. Perry http://american-rattlesnake.org/?p=15861 Laura Ingraham speaking at the Values Voter Summit in Washington D.C. on October 7, 2011. Author: Gage Skidmore

The DC March for Jobs is less than two days away! I urge every immigration patriot-especially those living in Maryland, Virginia, and the nation’s capital-to make their best efforts to attend this historic event. This will be a momentous opportunity to show the nation’s lawmakers, who have made a habit of ignoring the will of their constituents, why the American public categorically rejects amnesty, as well as the massive increase in legal immigration that the Gang of Eight travesty-or a corresponding bill in the House-will unleash upon the labor market.

To understand why this show of solidarity with unemployed and underemployed Americans is so vital, you should listen to Laura Ingraham’s fantastic interview of BALA spokeswoman Leah Durant, which illustrates the scale of the unemployment crisis facing American citizens, and how much this bill will exacerbate it. The Congressional Black Caucus-like much of Congress-doesn’t give a fig for the people they ostensibly represent; it’s time to show them that American voices must be heard in this debate.
