Daily Rattle – American-Rattlesnake http://american-rattlesnake.org Immigration News, Analysis, and Activism Mon, 12 Jun 2017 18:27:28 +0000 en-US hourly 1 https://wordpress.org/?v=4.7.5 All Politics Is Local (The Daily Rattle) http://american-rattlesnake.org/2017/03/all-politics-is-local-the-daily-rattle/ http://american-rattlesnake.org/2017/03/all-politics-is-local-the-daily-rattle/#respond Wed, 08 Mar 2017 17:34:53 +0000 http://american-rattlesnake.org/?p=24718

-We begin today’s rattle with an interesting story about an Indian-or Muslim, depending upon PR needs of the open borders squad-athlete who was ushered into this country by our very own Senator Chuck Schumer. Unfortunately, this gifted sportsman is also a sex offender. Perhaps this isn’t quite as bad as having an alien interning for your office who is also a registered sex offender, but it does make you question the collective wisdom of our Democratic friends in Congress. Maybe we shouldn’t be taking their advice, vis-a-vis, controversial immigration decisions made by the Executive branch.

-In a reminder that there are actually rational people living in The People’s Republic of Vermont, the voters of Rutland have just turned out their incumbent mayor, Chris Louras, after he attempted to deluge their town with Muslim refugees from Syria and Iraq. While ignoring the public’s deep discontent with our government’s refugee resettlement programs-when not imputing racism and bigotry to Americans who express reservations about these schemes-is the norm, even the alternative weekly was forced to concede the enormous political consequences of this decision.

-For those of you who were wondering whatever happened to the thousands of unaccompanied minors who were allowed to enter into this country, wonder no more. According to an in-depth backgrounder from the Center for Immigration Studies, our government has absolutely no clue what it’s doing. While over 80 percent of their sponsors are illegal aliens, 44 percent of the UACs in question were ordered deported. Have the vast majority of these children been deported? Of course not, silly!

-You may ask yourself, “Why is this important?” It’s a good question. After all, it’s not as if these individuals will bring brutal Central American inter-gang warfare to the placidity of our nation’s suburbs, right? Well, I have some bad news for you on that score. It turns out that Latin American gangs, including MS-13, one of the most prolific and ruthless criminal networks in the Western Hemisphere, has actually established a pretty firm beachhead in our own backyard. Naturally, almost all of these gangbangers are criminal aliens. In an ironic twist, the moniker of the man who made an abortive attempt to unify the Mara Salvatrucha within the United States is, you guessed it, Dreamer.

-For those of you who think Europe’s approach to immigration is any less self-defeating and preposterous than the United States, I give you France. A nation where municipal authorities in Calais are attempting to prevent thousands of migrants from recreating the notorious refugee camp known as The Jungle. The biggest proponents of turning The Camp of the Saints into reality are, of course, other Europeans who believe Western civilization is uniquely evil. The ostensible plight of migrants from the third world is simply a cudgel with which the Gramscian left-with the help of corporate bean counters-can beat native Europeans into submission.

-After all, what are a few dozen, or a few hundred, honor killings in the grand scheme of things? Is the systemic dehumanization and murder of girls in nations which were responsible for the idea of religious toleration and freedom of conscience too high a price to pay for erecting the beautiful mosaic? When bad whites are saying intemperate, obnoxious things about people who are off-white, doesn’t that negate their entire philosophical worldview?  Even if that perspective is confirmed multiple times every single day?

-Everyone knows that the real reason millions of Muslims across the world support ISIS, Al Qaeda, and similar jihadist networks is because there isn’t enough inclusion in Hollywood casting decisions. See, the real villain isn’t Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi. It’s those bastards who refused to green light an all-Muslim reboot of Star Trek!

-The cognitive dissonance at work in the mind of an an open borders leftist must be overpowering. They want to live in a high-trust, quasi-collectivist techno-utopia-along the lines of something created by Gene Roddenberry-yet simultaneously support policies which make this already far-fetched goal virtually impossible. The mentality of a social justice warrior in high dudgeon can be found in this VICE piece, which laments the role homeless shelters have been playing in the deportation of migrants. The traditional liberal concern for the working class and the poor is discarded when it conflicts with the categorical imperative, i.e. preserving diversity. The spiritual hollowness and intellectual vapidity of this type of leftist ‘thinking’ was brilliantly and caustically skewered by George Orwell nearly a century ago. It’s good to know that some things haven’t changed all that much.

-I’d like to leave you on a good note, so here’s some refreshing news to come out of Austria. 8 Iraqi men have been convicted of the gang rape of a tourist. Unlike the Middle Eastern cab driver in Halifax who was, to all intents and purposes, high-fived by a Nova Scotia judge for raping an unconscious passenger, these rapists were actually given (relatively) stiff prison sentences. What’s more, we’ve discovered that these horrific incidents actually constitute an anomaly within the Islamic immigrant community.

Migrants and refugees from other countries expressed concern that the crime will make Austrians hostile toward all newcomers.

“Eight people raping a woman — that’s honor-less! Such a thing doesn’t exist in our religion,” Burhan Akbas, a migrant from Turkey, said.

“When such people come here and screw up like that, then everybody will think that Chechens, Afghans, all refugees from war areas are all the same,” Mansur Salamou, an asylum-seeker from Chechnya, said. “But it’s not like that. For example, the majority of us — we also cause problems, commit crimes. But no rape! Only criminal assaults and robberies.”

See, Europeans?! You only have to worry about being assaulted and robbed by the millions of North African and Middle Eastern refugees and migrants making their way towards Europe. What a relief.

According to a recently published study, over 27 billion dollars in federal grants and direct payments are awarded to sanctuary cities, although that figure probably doesn’t take into account the recent designations of the Borough of Prospect Park and Cincinnati as such. One need only recall the names of Adrienne Shelly, Jamiel Shaw Jr. and Sarah Root in order to grasp why protecting the identities and safety of illegal aliens is such a dire threat to American citizens, and why President Trump’s decision to target these scofflaws is necessary.

In the case of California, which is ground zero for the erasure of our national identity, the means by which law and security can be restored are manifold, including the withdrawal of federal funds and the possible breakup of activist federal courts. When the leader of the upper chamber of the California legislature brags about how many members of his family are illegal aliens the idea of ignoring this ongoing, man-made disaster is simply not an option. The insanity that began in that state has already spread to others, including New York, which is once again considering giving driver’s licenses to illegal aliens. This is the same state where, Democratic protestations to the contrary, the real threat of voter fraud is swept under the rug, unlike in Texas, where a Mexican national is currently being prosecuted for illegal voting.

That is why the confirmation of Jeff Sessions as Attorney General-after weeks of obstruction and slander by Senate Democrats-is welcome news. We need an advocate arguing on behalf of American interests against the bureaucracy and judiciary, which are committed to delegitimizing our culture and erasing our borders. This isn’t simply a fight against jihadists and criminal aliens, but a campaign to restore the primacy of American interests within our society. Even though it’s a minority position in the nation’s capital, the fact that influential members of Congress are planning to work with the Trump administration to roll back the unprecedented wave of immigration we’ve experienced over the past half-century is a good sign.

Whether it’s the American worker replacement program known as the H-1B visa, or the critical pressure placed upon health care and education, the burdens imposed by our current immigration system are overwhelming. The grim reality is much different from the glossy fabrications and fantasies spun by corporate America, much less the Democratic Party. A party which maintains that gay rights is somehow compatible with the world’s most anti-gay religion, an intellectually incoherent stance you must hold in order to remain a member in good standing. A party which recruits activists who actively encourage the violent suppression of speech inimical to their warped ideology.

This is the dawning of a new era, and we need to start using the tools at our disposal to begin the reversal of decades of damage. However imperfect the vessel, Donald Trump is at the forefront of this evolution.

The Daily Rattle (Pre-Inaugural Edition) http://american-rattlesnake.org/2017/01/the-daily-rattle-pre-inaugural-edition/ http://american-rattlesnake.org/2017/01/the-daily-rattle-pre-inaugural-edition/#respond Wed, 18 Jan 2017 22:18:43 +0000 http://american-rattlesnake.org/?p=23946 TheCampOfTheSaints

President Obama’s last week in office has brought with it a flood of breaking news. The biggest story, of course, is his commutation of Chelsea Manning’s 35 year prison sentence. My own impression is that his decision is designed as a cynical bit of legacy-building, with the added benefit of perhaps inducing Julian Assange to leave the Ecuadorian embassy. Although that prospect appears increasingly remote, it very well might have factored into his judgement. Overlooked in news coverage of the Manning commutation is the grant of clemency to Oscar Lopez Rivera, a leader of the Marxist-Leninist Puerto Rican terror group FALN. Like Bill Clinton’s pardon of previously released FALN terrorists, which was intertwined with his wife’s Senate bid in New York, this decision was politically-based. In this case, as a parting gift to violent socialists who still comprise a significant portion of the Democratic base and will populate future revolutions.

Another early Christmas present for the hard left  comes in the form of the President’s revocation of the federal government’s Wet Foot, Dry Foot policy. It should be recalled that the policy itself was implemented prior to a pivotal election year, when former President Clinton was attempting to empty Guantanamo Bay of Cuban refugees. In order to prevent a repeat of Mariel-which sunk a young Bill Clinton’s chances of being reelected governor of Arkansas-he struck a deal with Fidel Castro which limited the number of Cubans who would be allowed to enter the United States. As Humberto Fontova astutely points out, one of the unreported effects of this adjustment will be an increase in the number of dependents flowing into the United States with a commensurate decrease in the amount of skilled professionals immigrating.

Even as the Obama administration’s days draw to a close, it continues to imperil the health and safety of ordinary American citizens, as ICE and CBP effectively serve as a shuttle service for unidentified illegal aliens under the pretext of being reunited with family. How many innocent people will meet the same fate of Sarah Root because of this willful indifference to the lives of Americans? Even  as people living throughout the United States are placed in imminent danger through the reckless ideology of the outgoing administration, the tide of refugees from Asia, Africa, and broken nations like Haiti shows no signs of ebbing. The conditions Barack Obama and his lawless bureaucracy have established bear all the hallmarks of the disaster we’ve seen unfold across Europe over the past 2 years.

Unfortunately, there are also ominous hints being dropped by President-Elect Donald Trump, who has responded favorably to proposals to salvage his predecessor’s patently unconstitutional administrative amnesty. In addition to going back on one of the central planks of the platform upon which he was elected-and deflating any enthusiasm felt by his staunchest supporters-this maneuver would significantly enhance the prestige and power of the very worst people, e.g. Paul Ryan, John McCain, and Lindsey Graham. The idea that one of the first domestic policy decisions will be to embrace the instincts of open borders fetishists and neoconservatives is unconscionable. If Trump had campaigned on a promise to continue the disastrous immigration policies of the current administration, he never would have made it past New Hampshire. This is an idea which needs to be categorically rejected by any right-thinking immigration patriot.

In order not to black pill the majority of our audience, we should leave you with a bit of good news from abroad. It seems that Norway has finally shown some of the Scandinavian backbone which Sweden surrendered several centuries ago. While the Norwegians haven’t ejected every jihadist apologist and Muslim fifth columnist from their nation, 2016 did see a record number of deportations. Although too many of these deportees were Europeans, it’s significant that there is a growing movement within that country to assert its sovereignty in the face of a Muslim population that has grown to nearly 150,000.

Perhaps it’s not too late to save Europe.

Daily Rattle: NYC Edition http://american-rattlesnake.org/2016/10/daily-rattle-nyc-edition/ http://american-rattlesnake.org/2016/10/daily-rattle-nyc-edition/#comments Fri, 14 Oct 2016 15:12:35 +0000 http://american-rattlesnake.org/?p=23159 16 - 1

Taking a break from the towering inferno that is our presidential election, it’s worth noting some disturbing, yet sadly predictable, developments in our own backyard. The ad you see above is now plastered over subway cars taken by straphangers traveling to and from their jobs, which they have obtained legally in most cases. Even though the Obama administration’s attempt at unilaterally rewriting federal immigration law was rejected by the Supreme Court, the Jacobins who run the Mayor’s Office Of Immigrant Affairs never call it quits.

In addition to helping illegal aliens take advantage of a federal program of dubious constitutionality, our friend Bill de Blasio has also relieved New York City’s cab drivers of the crushing burden of learning English. Perhaps as a means of grooming future politicians like Councilman Ydanis Rodriguez, a public official who can’t speak the language himself! For those of you who are curious why this might be a bad idea, I’d recommend my friend Karol Markowicz’s op-ed in the New York Post, which pretty much encapsulates my thinking on the subject.

A less recent innovation, just over a year and a half old, is the NYC ID Card. Although billed as a legitimating document for transgendered people, homeless adults, and the entire spectrum of the rainbow coalition, the truth is that it’s sole purpose is to further embed illegal aliens into American culture and normalize the subsidiary crimes their presence occasions, like document fraud. If you think I’m being hyperbolic in my description of this piece of identification, I suggest you examine the words of the Democratic representative to the City’s Board of Elections, who believes that these cards are simply another vessel to commit electoral fraud.

Even so, perhaps having our elections manipulated by scores of people who aren’t legally entitled to be in this country-let alone, cast ballots in municipal or state elections-isn’t much of a concern. In that case, what do you think of the actions of Speaker Melissa Mark-Viverito, a woman who’s just as red as her Sandalista friend at Gracie Mansion? Specifically, her attempt to get an African-American NYCHA manager fired because she committed the crime of not being Hispanic. Welcome to the wonderful world of multiculturalism, the war of all against all.

A couple of news items before tonight’s VP debate:

-The Department of Homeland Security has scotched an investigation into the Clinton family’s bagman, Governor Terry McAuliffe, as well as Hillary’s younger brother, ex repo man/current parasite Tony Rodham. Both men were involved in a scheme to fast-track visa applications under the E-5 investor visa program, which is riddled with corruption and fraud. Of course, when the man accused of facilitating these potentially illegal acts is now the Deputy Secretary of DHS, what more can one expect?

-There were no blockbuster revelations of DNC chicanery or HRC contempt for Bernie supporters at the press conference held by Julian Assange earlier today. However, there was a promise of more disclosures to come, including information bearing on the current presidential race and the machinations of Google, a new media monopoly which continues to use AI as means of manipulating what information is available to the public. In case you were wondering which candidate Google is supporting this election cycle, take a peek at what its former CEO is up to these days.

-Finally, in a bit of good news, the Supreme Court has rejected the Obama administration’s request to rehear a case that put a halt to its unconstitutional administrative amnesty. The 4-4 decision merely serves to reinforce how important the upcoming presidential election is, because the  winner will be able to decide how far he or she is able to abuse the office of the presidency. It’s something else to keep in mind as you watch tonight’s debate.

Rattle On (May News Digest) http://american-rattlesnake.org/2016/05/rattle-on-may-news-digest/ http://american-rattlesnake.org/2016/05/rattle-on-may-news-digest/#respond Wed, 11 May 2016 04:18:53 +0000 http://american-rattlesnake.org/?p=21695 DSCN3218_1487-e1356672809763

With the world aflame, it’s only appropriate that our periodical digest of immigration and cultural news returns. Starting off in the States, we find that Michelle Root, after a heartfelt meeting with Donald Trump, has decided to throw her support behind his candidacy. For those of you who are unfamiliar with the case, Michelle is the mother of Sarah Root, who was murdered by a criminal alien that is now at large because of our government’s brilliant oversight of this national disaster. For a good exposition of why Donald Trump is worth supporting, I recommend David Horowitz’s fantastic piece in Breitbart, which echoes many of my thoughts regarding the Dump Trump phenomenon. In my mind, it’s the best encapsulation of the pro-Trump argument published thus far. Jack Cashill also has a worthwhile column on this subject in WorldNetDaily. However, for those of you of a more intellectual bent, I recommend reading acclaimed historian Paul Johnson’s coruscating attack on the paragons of PC culture, and explanation of how Trump’s candidacy is a breath of fresh air in this stagnant ideological environment.

Moving north, we’re pleased to note that justice triumphs over sharia, at least in this instance. Accepting this idiotic leftist neologism into our lexicon is bad enough, but allowing the congenital neuroses of social justice warriors to determine the fate of jihadists is a bridge too far. Let’s hope that a certain judge in Minnesota is paying attention to these proceedings.

Rounding out our tour of North America, we land upon Mexico, where El Chapo, formerly the world’s most-wanted fugitive, is one step closer to extradition. Sean Penn could not be reached for comment. Someone who never declines to speak his mind is former Mexican president Vincente Fox, whose torpid retirement has been enlivened by the unexpected success of Donald Trump. What’s notable about his most recent outburst is its stunning lack of self-reflection. A man whose tenure witnessed continued mass emigration-both illegal and legal-virtually no progress by any significant cultural or economic metric, and who was widely considered a more doltish version of President Bush, somehow believes that Trump supporters are the ones operating from a place of ignorance. Go figure.

In Latin America, we find that Panama has closed its border with Colombia in order to prevent Cuban emigres from using their country as a transit point to the United States. However, not before agreeing to the transfer of 3,000 Cubans to American territory. For those of you who haven’t been paying attention, scores of Cubans are now flocking to American shores in order to take advantage of our wet foot, dry foot policy-implemented under President Clinton-which they fear will be coming to an end now that Barack Obama and the Castro regime have reached an uneasy detente.

Hopping across the pond, we find Britain under siege from the usual assortment of anti-fascist fascists, primarily The Religion of Peace and its prog thought enablers. While expressing public discontent with your government’s decision to repopulate your town with Islamic colonists is now grounds for being thrown into a dungeon, it appears that you can still safely threaten to behead political candidates who are not so keen on being invaded by scores of unassimilable aliens. This practice seems to have become a habit among well-integrated British Muslims, BTW. But aren’t these folks just the modern-day Jews fleeing the equivalent of Nazi Europe? No, they’re not, as even the perennially obnoxious Jamie Kirchick readily concedes, although we understand why someone conditioned by decades of open borders propaganda by the likes of NPR would think that’s an apt analogy. The same way it’s understandable that some have convinced themselves that Brexit represents an existential threat to the United Kingdom, although not as great as that posed by Donald Trump, evidently. The truth is much less flattering to the ruling class, alas.

However, truth is worth embracing for its own sake, in addition to its subsidiary benefits. Islamic refugees do pose a threat to European identity-and to the national sovereignty of the countries they’re invading-regardless of how politically incorrect this thought might seem to the gatekeepers of acceptable opinion. Even as the flood of colonizers from the Islamic world seek new paths of ingress, the results of Europe’s dangerous experiment in openness continue to pour in, most recently with a mysterious outbreak of mental illness in Munich, where the Palestinian knife jihad seems to be one more glorious import Mama Merkel has blessed her countrymen with. Is it any wonder that “far-right” thought criminals are catapulting to power in Central Europe?

Speaking of electoral politics, it looks like The Philippines has a new President-elect. Although that country has had its fair share of colorful leaders, Rodrigo Duterte seems to be in a class by himself. In addition to promising cabinet positions to the New People’s Army-a Maoist terrorist group which has waged a nearly half-century battle against the Filipino state-he has also pledged to negotiate with Islamic insurgents in the south of the country. Whether or not this promise includes the creatures who ritualistically sacrificed Canadian citizen John Ridsdel remains to be seen.

Over on the dark continent, we learn that Kenya has finally decided to shut down the world’s largest refugee camp. Followers of this site, or world events in general, can probably recite the litany of atrocities committed by Muslims living in Kenya-particularly those who are Somali refugees-so the decision to potentially repatriate some of these foreign nationals will come as little surprise. Neither will the howls of outrage from human rights groups, which lodged similar protests-equally spurious, as Philip Gourevitch has pointed out-against Rwanda’s effective campaign to close down terrorist havens in the Congo many years ago.

The Daily Rattle, 11/3/14 (Election Eve Edition) http://american-rattlesnake.org/2014/11/the-daily-rattle-11314-election-eve-edition/ http://american-rattlesnake.org/2014/11/the-daily-rattle-11314-election-eve-edition/#respond Mon, 03 Nov 2014 15:24:57 +0000 http://american-rattlesnake.org/?p=17685 Ballot Box showing preferential voting. Original uploader was UkraineToday at en.wikipedia. Public Domain.

With Election Day imminent, it’s only appropriate that this edition of the Daily Rattle begins with a few news items dealing with important votes taking place throughout the country. One of the most revealing contests does not involve a single political candidate, but is actually a referendum taking place in the deep-blue state of Oregon. Measure 88, a ballot proposition that would invest illegal aliens living in that state with driver’s licenses-just like their fellow lawbreakers to the north-looks to be headed towards a resounding defeat, to the surprise, no doubt, of everyone but those of us who have been paying attention. Thankfully, this ACLU-crafted invitation to further criminality-and potential mayhem in the skies-will be rejected by sensible Oregon voters, even if the pathetic incumbent-along with the lovely, immigration fraud enabler to whom he’s married-remains in the governor’s mansion.

Unfortunately, the political appeal for defending the health and security of American citizens is  a concept that’s all but lost on those currently running the Republican Party. You need look no further than Democratic political consultant-and advisor to former President Jimmy Carter-Pat Caddell to realize the utter stupidity of the GOP neglecting the most important domestic policy issue of our time. His description of the GOP as the Stupid Party encapsulates our feelings on this subject, as most of you already know. For anyone doubting the validity of this assertion, a recent survey demonstrating that the vast majority of Coloradans want all illegal aliens deported-contrary to the pro-amnesty stances proffered by candidates of both parties-should dispel your skepticism. As should the remarkably successful senatorial campaign of Scott Brown, who has bravely bucked the trend of Republican candidates dodging the subject of patriotic immigration reform, no doubt to the horror and consternation of the editors at the Wall Street Journal.

The results of these elections will have momentous consequences, not the least of them being a potential increase in crime unleashed by relaxed-or non-existent-immigration enforcement. USA Today has confirmed what almost everyone suspected regarding last year’s politically-motivated release of thousands of illegal aliens from federal custody during the sequestration process. Namely, that these individuals were not benign Dreamers, but rapists, human traffickers, and kidnappers, insincere protestations  to the contrary  by administration flacks notwithstanding. Kudos to the New Hampshire Union Leader for seeking the disclosure of the names of criminal aliens whose identity ICE bureaucrats were attempting to hide from public. And if you’re under the impression that aliens who’ve committed a serious crime will eventually be punished, no such luck. The case of Cynthia Garcia-Cisneros demonstrates that even killing two children through your own lethal negligence will not ensure prison time, let alone deportation for your crimes.

Whether or not the African immigrant who raped and mutilated his wife will be punished for his acts of barbarity remains to be seen. He does not appear to be a beneficiary of the President’s unconstitutional DACA amnesty, so the chances that he’ll be able to skate on these charges-or illegally cast a ballot in the upcoming elections-appear remote. However, the potential for increased violence visited upon innocent Americans as a result of our government’s open borders policies will no doubt increase in the days ahead, as the President amps up his de facto, patently unconstitutional administrative amnesty. In fact, the Obama White House is making no bones about its intent in this regard, as the recent speech by Leon Rodriguez celebrating its forthcoming abuse of power makes clear, as does the order for thousands of work authorization permits for the illegal aliens who will presumably be regularized once the election is over. Labor Secretary Thomas Perez’s specious assertion that the upcoming expansion of  Obama’s administrative amnesty will result in shared prosperity is no doubt intended to allay concerns over the upcoming deluge. Perhaps these propagandists should tell the scores of IT workers who were blackballed from gainful employment by favor-seeking tech firms-about the benefits of mass immigration.

The Obama administration has had its hands full, what with bypassing the constitutional process, easing the lives of criminal aliens-while simultaneously obstructing any investigation into the release of these domestic threats-and allowing over 100,000 Haitians to come to the United States without visas, but it hasn’t neglected to harm American interests in other ways. I’m thinking chiefly of the obstruction of justice related to the Fast and Furious debacle, which proceeds unabated. Thankfully, Judicial Watch continues to shine a spotlight upon one of the greatest crimes perpetrated by the Department of Justice.

As a result, the public now has access to a Vaughn index describing Fast and Furious records, including a tranche of e-mails detailing Attorney General Eric Holder’s intimate involvement in leading the spin machine devoted to exculpating this administration from blame for the fallout from Fast and Furious. Judicial Watch has also obtained information about the pivotal role Valerie Jarrett, President Obama’s Svengali-played in the potential perjury of the outgoing Attorney General before Congress. Like the true dimensions of the invasion coming across our southern border from Central America, most major media outlets have decided to ignore one of the most flagrant examples of Executive corruption within the past five decades.

Another underreported story is the Enterovirus D68 outbreak which continues to claim the lives of young children throughout the nation. In the state of California, the rate of infections has doubled within a week, while questions about its origin remain unanswered, contrary to the tendentious conclusions reached by those acclaimed epidemiologists at Media Matters. Moving on to another lethal virus, the National Border Patrol Council has confirmed that hundreds of foreign nationals from the three African nations devastated by Ebola have been detained at the Mexican-American border over the course of the past year. As others have pointed out recently, a dire scenario involving this epidemic involves the spread of the virus throughout Central America, which would make the recent surge of unaccompanied minors look positively benign by comparison. It’s unclear whether future ebola victims traveling to the United States will be entitled to reap the benefits of Obamacare, but rest assured that the procedures used to handle their cases will be based upon political opportunism as much-if not more so-than common sense.

However we deal with them, I’m sure their treatment will elicit cries of xenophobia and lectures on discrimination from the president of Mexico, who continues to believe that our immigration policies should be contoured to accommodate the aspirations of the corrupt, extraordinarily wealthy elite which rules his country. The fact that there might be legitimate economic, cultural, defense or health reasons to limit entry to the United States never occurs to those ensconced in power, whether they reside in Mexico City or in the Big Apple. Just as the concept of having a unifying culture has become anathema to the ruling class, so has the concept of having a common language which binds citizens.

Overseas, civilizational decline proceeds apace, assisted in no small part by the anti-democratic institutions which have been established to serve as a check on the bien pensant attitudes of their native peoples. More than 100,000 uninvited migrants have breached the border crossing which separates France from Italy, according to Le Figaro. The situation in Spain is not much better, as a violent confrontation between a border guard and migrant which occurred recently in Melilla-one of the last obstacles impeding refugees from access to continental Europe-illustrates. In fact, the reality of this nightmarish situation has become so glaringly evident that many European nations-the United Kingdom among them-are rethinking their support for a rescue program which has only served to encourage more potentially deadly journeys across what the Romans once called mare nostrum. I suppose we should be grateful that some European leaders are at least paying lip service to national sovereignty, although none has been as bold as Australian Immigration Minister Scott Morrison, who wants to know why Third World refugees feel entitled to permanent resettlement in developed, First World nations.

If only America had a leader willing to resist the monolith of multiculturalism and open borders activism. Unfortunately, the one state that has thus far rejected the United Nations refugee resettlement program which has unraveled so many tightly knit, beautiful American communities is led by a man who appears ready to accede to the wishes of the UN and U.S. State Department. The consequences of continuing this long march towards oblivion could not be more dire, as the recent jihadist attacks in Canada make clear. The terror attack in Ottawa was enabled in large measure by the manipulation of the immigration system, as Debbie Schlussel points out in an illuminating post exploring some of the history behind  Michael Zehaf-Bibeau’s attack on Parliament Hill and Canada’s National War Memorial. Given the current state of our relationship with Muslim newcomers, it’s not surprising that even before the terrorist assaults in Canada Western nations were advising their soldiers to become invisible. A perfect metaphor, alas, for our current state of affairs.

The mendacity of our current administration is at times stunning, even for those of us who should by now have become inured to the lies regurgitated by the Obama administration and its factotums for the better part of two terms. The disavowals by La Raza graduate Cecilia Munoz and village idiot Joe Biden notwithstanding, the systematic emigration of unaccompanied minors from their homelands to the southwestern United States is nothing if not a ploy designed by those in power to destroy whatever prophylactic measures the government currently takes to prevent the complete dissolution of our nation’s system of border controls.

-You need look no further than ICE itself, whose bureaucrats acknowledge that a contract request to escort these youths was publicly advertised as early as the beginning of this year to realize how fatuous the current administration’s protestations of innocence are. The fact that this crisis is completely and utterly contrived seems not to have dissuaded the usual suspects in the mainstream  news media from putting the most appealing face on what has become an untrammeled invasion. Perhaps predictably, the fact that those tasked with protecting our nation’s security are now the functional equivalent of babysitters to carriers of lethal, communicable diseases has only exacerbated the existing tendency among press outlets to treat every breakdown of public order and security risk as a vessel for the classic illegal immigrant sob story.

-That the public is being largely denied pertinent information about the risks posed by these cherubic children-or a rational debate over whether surviving custodians/parents are practicing child abuse by forcing them to make a potentially lethal, 120+ mile trek through the Mexican desert-should come as no surprise. While concerned citizens might be surprised to learn that many of these “unaccompanied minors” are in fact vicious gang members, the fact that this tidbit is being overlooked by every single national broadcast network is nothing new when it comes to immigration coverage, unfortunately. Even the question of whether these individuals are being released into the care of human traffickers is probably not going to be raised by reporters invested in the wholesale erasure of American sovereignty.

-What galls, however, is the deafening silence by the fourth estate regarding the manipulation of access to the detainment cells and way stations, including military bases, housing these uninvited guests from Central America. Naturally, any critics of this administration’s  calculatedly disastrous immigration policy are being denied entry to the facilities housing the latest cohort of illegal aliens, as Arizona Speaker Andy Tobin learned recently. Likewise, any reporters seeking to engage in journalism-not merely act as stenographers for LULAC or the ACLU-are obstructed from practicing their craft, even as the Border Patrol officers who would seek to assist them are threatened with prosecution by their superiors, a la Fast and Furious. Thus, the freedom of information whose death the press routinely sheds crocodile tears for ends, not with a bang, and barely a whimper from the credentialed hypocrites.

-In contrast to the brick wall greeting those few genuinely patriotic lawmakers and intrepid journalists seeking the truth, the Spanish-speaking subjects of so many glowing personal interest stories over the past month are being provided with the best in legal representation that your tax dollars can buy. Someone should inform President Obama and his sidekick that these star-studded legal teams are promising their clients amnesty, which is open to them through a variety of means, including the notoriously porous refugee resettlement program.

-These unaccompanied aliens-and presumably, the adults who are assisting their perilous voyage north-are acting upon an entirely rational, understandable impulse. Namely, to leave behind a third world life of desperate poverty and lack of security in order to live in a, relatively speaking, prosperous and safe environment-one in which attempts to circumscribe their access to any welfare program will be met with howls of rage by indignant, open borders fanatics. They’re doing so because they have concluded that they will not be deported to their countries of origin, and despite the disingenuous protestations to the contrary by this administration and its apparatchiks, this is a largely accurate assessment of the situation, as columnist Ross Douthat has pointed out in the pages of the New York Times.

News & Notes

-Perhaps predictably, the political earthquake that vaporized Eric Cantor’s future career arc  doesn’t seem to have reached the denizens of Capitol Hill, K Street, or the White House. Valerie Jarrett’s recent comments about Rupert Murdoch and Dave Brat only serve to underscore the cosmic disconnect between those who make their living manipulating the political process in order to serve their financial and political interests and the people throughout the country laboring to sate their avarice. Unfortunately, just as we seem to be stuck with Murdoch, there is no prospect of Ms. Jarrett returning to Iran any time in the near future. GOP mega-donor Sheldon Adelson, unlike his Australian counterpart, was actually born in the United States, therefore should presumably have a deeper attachment to American sovereignty and the quality of life of this nation’s citizens. Unfortunately, as Breitbart reports, that is simply not the case.

-One group that passionately detests the United States-at least, as it’s currently constituted-is the National Council of La Raza. Shockingly, they seem to have drawn all the wrong conclusions from Eric Cantor’s epic primary defeat, demonstrating yet again the utter futility of hispandering in  hopes of garnering that ever-elusive, much-heralded latino vote. One man who does not tailor his message in order to appeal to segmented ethnic groups is the gubernatorial candidate Tom Tancredo, a man whose praises we have sung repeatedly on this website. Of course, the open borders elites who control the GOP machinery despise Congressman Tancredo, which is all the more reason registered Republicans in the state of Colorado should go out and vote for him in today’s primary.

And with that important admonition, we conclude today’s Daily Rattle.

Although the deaths of migrants from North Africa and the Middle East upon the doorstep of Europe has occupied the attention of news media over the past few weeks, the difficulties endured by nations which serve as buffers between the third world and the West are often overlooked. One of the countries taxed by an influx of refugees from war-ravaged nations is the west African nation of Cameroon. Over 100,000 refugees reside in that country after fleeing Nigeria and the Central African Republic, because of a brutal Islamic insurgency  and ongoing civil war, respectively.

In other migration news, dozens of Rohingya Muslims from Burma are reported missing after their boat capsized in the Bay of Bengal. Despite the grossly misleading reportage we’ve been treated to by outlets like the BBC and Washington Post, among others, the inter-communal violence within Burma is not simply a case of an Islamophobic backlash, as Nobel laureate Aung San Suu Kyi has repeatedly pointed out. This Daily Telegraph photo essay provides a much more nuanced view of the violence engulfing Burma, much of it directed against Rakhine State’s Buddhist population by Muslim jihadists.

Moving on to the Western Hemisphere, we learned today that the U.S. Treasury Department has blacklisted 20 businesses linked to Rafael Caro Quintero, the Mexican drug lord responsible for the brutal torture and execution of DEA agent Enrique “Kiki” Camarena, who was recently released from prison this past August, despite having over a decade remaining on his prison sentence. Thanks to the endemically corrupt Mexican government, the proceeds of Quintero’s racketeering empire remained in his family, which will undoubtedly prove useful to one of the world’s most wanted fugitives.

In cheap labor lobby news, Indian outsourcing titan Infosys has reached a settlement with the federal government in its lawsuit alleging widespread visa fraud. The wholesale importation of foreign workers by Indian outsourcing firms is a problem in the high tech industry, although it is not the sole, nor even the primary, reason for the widespread unemployment and underemployment of highly qualified computer programmers and STEM graduates. As Norm Matloff has explained, the employment practices of American companies are even worse than their Indian counterparts, which shouldn’t surprise anyone who’s come across the ubiquitous pro-amnesty ads bankrolled by amnesty’s biggest cheerleader in Silicon Valley.

Finally, the news that there are still hundreds of thousands of illegal aliens streaming into the United States shouldn’t surprise anyone who’s been paying even perfunctory attention to the immigration reform debate occurring in Washington D.C. over the past year. While most of these aliens come from Central America, their  ultimate destination is clear. Despite the pressing need for border security, Janet Napolitano’s replacement at DHS doesn’t seem to be concerned about the waves of illegal aliens streaming across our southern border.

Mark Krikorian speculates that Mr. Johnson was installed in order to enact the wholesale version of amnesty via administrative fiat. Whether his promotion leads to stealth amnesty or is simply a savvy public relations move on the part of the Obama administration, the remainder of this year will provide some interesting clues as to how the anti-citizen party will proceed in its path to electoral hegemony.

Stay tuned…

The Daily Rattle-June 28, 2013 (Amnesty Roundup) http://american-rattlesnake.org/2013/06/the-daily-rattle-june-28-2013-amnesty-roundup/ http://american-rattlesnake.org/2013/06/the-daily-rattle-june-28-2013-amnesty-roundup/#respond Fri, 28 Jun 2013 21:48:42 +0000 http://american-rattlesnake.org/?p=15664 DSCN3218_1487-300x168

-As we predicted, the Senate passed the Gang of Eight amnesty yesterday, setting the stage for the final battle in the House of Representatives, which is ostensibly controlled by Republicans. You can view the roll call vote, which will serve as a handy reminder of which cringing Republicans need to be removed from office the next time they come up for reelection.

-The Senate debate over disassembling our republic was a thoroughly unedifying spectacle, from the senescent tirades of the Republican Party’s chief open borders pom pom twirler to the irrefragable idiocy that we’ve come to expect from his mini-me, Lindsey Graham. The only consolation is that some of us will be able to elect a new Senate before Congress elects a new people.

-You would think the threat of a bitterly fought, expensive primary-endorsed by no less than a former GOP Vice-presidential nominee-would cause skittish representatives to think twice before enacting a politically and economically ruinous amnesty. The promise by Rep. Steve King to depose Speaker Boehner if he moves forward on S.744-a move supported by powerful members of the House Republican caucus-seems to have instilled a measure of fear into La Raza enthusiast Luis Gutierrez’s BFF.

-Then again, the Republican leadership has never been known for its sagacity or political intuition. A fact demonstrated by comments made by RNC Chairman Reince Priebus after Senate passage of the Gang of Eight monstrosity. The elites have an entirely different conception of the public interest than that of most Americans, who tend to prioritize things like job security, safety, and upward mobility over the concerns of large corporate donors such as Big Agra and Silicon Valley lobbyists pleading for the importation of more high tech serfs.

-I tend to agree with Mark Levin, who believes that if amnesty is stopped in this session of Congress it will be in spite of John Boehner, not because of him. This man wants amnesty to be the law of the land, and the only thing preventing his wish from being fulfilled is the unified opposition of conservative Republican voters. The leadership of the Republican Party in the House needs to be reminded that they do not work for either Nancy Pelosi or Barack Obama, but for their constituents, i.e. patriotic  citizens who believe in American sovereignty and real border security. Even if the demise of the GOP as a national political entity is meaningless to them, these people should be reminded that they are placing their own political careers in jeopardy.

-With the abdication of leadership and abandonment of principle by so many Republicans, it’s reassuring to find a small glimmer of light in the struggle over amnesty in one of the least likely places. I refer to a fantastic piece published by The New Republic written by self-described liberal, opposing immigration reform. Much like Ted Rall, T.A. Frank sees the peril in naturalizing millions of workers-in addition to the hundreds of thousands who will imported over the same period-that will compete-at a decided advantage thanks to Obamacare regulations-with unemployed Americans who are already on the bottom rung of the economic ladder. The plight of American workers is something that the left cared about a scant two decades ago, but I suppose times have changed.

-We end today’s Rattle on a slightly humorous note. It appears that the Obama administration is not pleased with the way Hong Kong immigration officials  handled the departure of former NSA contractor turned leaker Edward Snowden, whose whereabouts have yet to be ascertained with any degree of certainty. Although this subject raises themes of constitutionality, privacy, foreign policy and other issues of grave import, what tickles the funny bone is the White House’s reaction to Mr. Snowden’s tour of the Eastern Hemisphere. In particular, the comments of White House Press Secretary Jay Carney:

The White House, which is typically much more restrained in its public remarks about the PRC, expressed a similar sentiment.

“We are just not buying that this was a technical decision by a Hong Kong immigration official,” White House press secretary Jay Carney said to reporters at a daily news briefing on June 24. “This was a deliberate choice by the government to release a fugitive despite a valid arrest warrant, and that decision unquestionably has a negative impact on the U.S.-China relationship.”

I completely agree, Mr. Carney. The notion that career bureaucrats would be responsible for momentous decisions that could have potentially grave consequences for national security is simply preposterous! I have no idea why someone would even consider deceiving the public with such an implausible scenario. People get the daftest notions sometimes.
