Tomorrow will see rallies held across the nation expressing support for President Trump and his platform. Presumably, there will also be counter-protests, although hopefully this time the participants will be able to restrain their penchant for savagery, destruction of private property, and unrestrained violence against those peaceably assembling. While there will be a rally in front of the White House, there will also be smaller local rallies, including one in Suffolk County. Although the economic case for Remain is, as the Brits would say, bollocks, the non-economic case is even weaker. Sargon explains why voting against Brexit effectively means the death of the UK as a sovereign nation.

That there has been another gruesome public murder, whose details have been broadcast across the globe, is no longer a novelty, unfortunately. The fact that it was being exploited within hours by the usual cast of characters, who want to shape this horrific event into a narrative of intolerant, anti-European, anti-multicultural bigoted Britain is not surprising either. As Brendan O’Neill has pointed out in Spiked Online, the people who want to strangle what remains of British democracy have exploited this ghastly tragedy for all it’s worth-as anyone watching the BBC yesterday afternoon can attest to-and will probably only grow bolder in their Le Bonesque social manipulation in the remaining week before the official Brexit vote.

I would like to think that, like the Wellstone memorial, they are overplaying their hand. However, I have a deeply cynical, almost Menckenesque view of human nature, so I don’t put too much stock in that hopeful scenario. For those of you who’d like to understand why the arguments of Remain are patently absurd, I’d suggest viewing some of Sargon of Akkad’s fantastic videos on this subject. It’s also worth checking out Godfrey Bloom’s discussion of the barbaric Jo Cox killing and Brexit on Mises Weekend.  For those, like Labour politician Veronica Oakeshott, who believe that disdain for MPs imperils democracy, I have a few questions. What exactly is your conception of that term? Does it mean equality of rights and privileges? If it does, then why do MPs such as yourself deserve to be immune from criticism, as opposed to anti-EU, anti-mass migration politicians such as MEP Nigel Farage? 

The fact that we have to debate  people willing to exploit their deceased colleague for political gain-while her body is still warm-is vulgar, but that we have to defend our right as free men and woman to speak truthfully and without censoring ourselves is absolutely infuriating. It’s something for those of you in the UK to consider  as you approach a momentous collective decision which will shape your future.
