The May Day workers who united this day seemed to come mostly from Latin countries. Signs in Spanish. Flags from their countries of birth (no American Flags) but, yes: Marxist flags. Socialist flags. And drums! Always drums mixed with Latin music blasting across Union Square. We weren’t in Kansas anymore. REVOLUTION. REVOLUTION. Yeah, that’s the ticket.

And…the chants, followed by the opening speech to inspire the United Commie Workers Rally.

Next we heard from Imani Henry – Peoples Assembly- workin’ the crowd.

Enough with the speeches. I moved on to the taking of many pictures of the divergent hoards assembled. My task took wing. Pictures of signs. Lots of signs. Including the white protestors who shilled for The Socialist Green Party, the Marxist.com Party, Bob Avakian’s true Marxist Party. They are the behind the scenes facilitators of the revolution to Free Mumia. To Dump Trump. To Stop Killer Cops. The END to White Supremacy — Cause—- BLACK Lives Matter.

But today was more than just speeches and pictures. Antifa arrived and the game changed. I heard an agitated leftie tell their lead guy to hurry – pointing towards the center of the square -there was “a problem.”

Seems Brittany Venti vs the Antifas was the next event leading to the arrest of this popular streamer. What I think I witnessed prior to the assault is first  presented in a series of pictures mounted in video format.

Something happened between Antifa-guy and Brittney, leading up to a  sign hitting her on the head.  She says Antifa-guy  hit her with the sign. Video that was released shows someone does hit her in the head, and Antifa-guy was bloodied near his left eye in retaliation.

Brittany was not bloodied.  Whatever, they were BOTH arrested.

Venti and anti-fascist (Antifa) protesters clashed, eventually resulting in Venti’s arrest and a bloodied protester. The moments leading up to her arrest were captured on a Periscope stream. After the arrest, she claimed someone hit her with a stick. It’s not yet known with what crime, if any, Venti has been charged.

When asked “what do you have to say to your fans,” she replied, “free Brittany Venti!”

THEN there were the Libertarian kids. They too were assaulted. The assault in action. (vocativ. com)

Another scuffle broke out between Antifa protesters and Trump-supporting Libertarians about 30 minutes later, the latter group eventually being be led across the street. The faction of Trump backers, about 30 people at its height, chanted “Build the wall!” and “You lost!” to the May Day participants in Union Square.

Assaulted. Pushed. Flour-bombed  Punched. Crunched. Till finally the police got wind there was something serious happening at the SW end of the Square. No one was actually hurt – that I could see – so perhaps a lot of bluster and show for the cameras- still these libertarian free speech protestors kept smiles on their faces even in the thick of the “madding” crowd.

Once on the scene, the police pulled them to the island SE of the square, sharing the area with Pro-Trump Build-the-Wall protestors.

Eventually, all joined in the chorus BUILD THE WALL. Pumped. Fearless.

Which sent one white, Commie flag waving millennial into a seething rage. From the Union Square side, he paced with his Marxist flag, shouting at the patriots.

He was seeing red, but not the kind he wanted.

Gen X Millennials. Self-identified as libertarians. They got spunk.  They are NOT Fascists. They are NOT Nazis. They call out Communism, Socialism, the Soviet Union, et al. They have but one solution: Keep America free of totalitarian despots.

But, Never Forget, why they were there. This was MAY DAY. Commie Day. America, she is BAD. The REVOLUTION is the Only SOLUTION: WORKERS UNITE!

In NYC the actual march didn’t seem to happen, though about 40 Trumpers gathered first at Trump Tower – at 11 am- and then walked to the gathering in the UN Park. So, you could say there was a mini-march.  A peaceful gathering. DIVERSE (as always).

Once at the rally, I saw a nice solid assemblage of patriots. Not huge, but not tiny either. Maybe 100 or even a bit more.

Heard a few speeches of support for Trump’s America. The main speaker was immigration enforcement expert, Michael Cutler. Cutler has 30 years of experience as an Immigration and Naturalization Service (INS) agent.

He was followed briefly by Jimmy McMillan, founder of The Rent Is Too Damn High Party.

Found a few anti-Trump protestors across the street with impeachment issues.

No matter the conflicting Chinese factions …

…. the mood stayed uplifted amongst the MAGA crowd.

There was, also, a disturbing faction that attached itself to this Trump Rally: the Larouchies. [see Lyndon LaRouche Party – Wiki] Way too many La Rouch signs and clip boards in-hand as they worked to recruit New Larouchies.

These weird groupies, will they become a trend at the NY Republican rallies? Hope not.

Then there was Gary Phaneuf – a ‘professional” heckler – and Chairman Mao’s faithful disciple. Gary walked through the Republican crowd with his Trump cap, Trump-Putin sign and his Communist China Daily rag. What happened? Why are the Trump rallies attracting these bizarre creatures?

Whatever, the many group of patriots were on message with the National Anthem. The Pledge-of-Allegiance as well as plenty of smiles and good-will.

Two marches in one day with the Patriots vs the Socialists. On  my way to the #MAGA rally, I stopped by the “People” March for a Free Press protest/rally

It was Noon in Bryant Park (42nd and Sixth ave) just a couple of avenues from the NY Times.(another mini-march) It’s the gesture that matters, ’cause they are ‘marching”.

Their aim was to show SUPPORT for a Free Press while resisting Trump’s “Fascist” America.

Trying to LOOK Patriotic – after all,  resistance is patriotic – they spoke of the Constitution, the American Revolution and claimed their protest was a living example of what our Founding Fathers fought for. The TRUTH will keep us FREE.

So, now all those racist, dead WHITE males are okay?

Holding large and small American flags while reciting the Pledge of Allegiance the speakers’ focused on, Trump and his minions who they claim oppose a Free Press. And Fox news. Of course.

TRUMP is a threat to PATRIOTIC Americans, like themselves; a danger to the NY Slimes and … a Free Press…

The NEW Socialist Left, inquiring minds want to know,  are they the real patriots? Exposing those fools who support President Trump and Fox News. The fight is on for WHO represents a patriotic, FREE Press America.

Even the NY Times seemed to ignore this rally. Saw lots of photographers, but found no reports. (Too peaceful, I guess).

I did read that nationwide, things were not as peaceful in the Peoples Republic of California and Omaha, of all places. Were the aggressors plants? Were they really Trump supporters?

“Violence erupted at a “Make America Great Again” rally in California. (and) more than 1,500 miles away, counter-protesters also caused chaos at a Trump rally in Omaha. The ruckus did not disrupt the rally, but it saddened some of the Trump supporters. “Today was a perfect example of how divided we have all gotten,” said Shayla McShannon, 36.”

Still, NYC was TAME in comparison. But, whether a fight with fists or a battle for a FREE Press. A battle for the TRUTH vs propaganda is a seriously important pursuit. I left the Peoples Protest. Heading to the U.N Trump supporters with this thought,

Holding a large American flag, saying the pledge of allegiance. These are not hallmark of a hanging-on-the-Left crowd. Yet they do manage to deliver the photo-ops the media enjoys. Winning? In some circles. With the help of that Free Press, can they sucker the public in to thinking this is the NEW America?

The NYPD, NYC Councilmen, the local progs, who remain loyal to the mayor, packed the meeting with loyalists who understood they were there to make nice with the mayor, or else.

Even the so-called “hard questions” were asked with respectful voices. No shouting. No screaming. No chanting. No signs (nothing like that was permitted). No way, no how.

Not possible since entry to the school was security intensive. Everything was scanned, purses dumped (my wallet – DUMPED); back packs and camera gear groped, dumped, and prodded. No signs would be snuck in-if they even tried-not gonna get past that security. (For a few more pictures, see slide show.)

I listened to the town hall meeting for about 90 minutes of a three hour marathon, with nary a spark of discontent.  The Mayor and Councilman Johnson offered the usual FRIENDLY soc/commie/prog responses to a very receptive crowd.

Stuck on stupid for almost every question or complaint, the most recycled solution was, “We need MORE Progressive Democrats in Albany to get rid of Trump.”

Manhattan, New York. A hotbed of soc/commie/progressive politicians who stay in office ’til they die. New York has no brain. No heart. Just empty tills to be refilled with higher and higher taxes. Yep. That’s the ticket to a workers party paradise. (The playlist below has excerpts from many of the talking points and answers)

Three hours of platitudes. Get rid of Trump promises. “We feel your pain. November 8th was a nightmare. We can fix it if we try. We are HERE FOR YOU!”

So, where were the disenchanted heavy hitters? Those fellow-travelers who often demand that Comrade Mayor de Blasio step-down. I’ve heard them. Seen them. Guess inquiring minds were checked at the door.

Next day, March 16, 2017, FOUND the DUMP Blaz Commies outside City Hall; ready to excoriate all things de Blasio.

This was a CITYWIDE Alliance to Dump de Blasio NOW!

Their press release said a people-of-color consortium lead this protest. They gathered (AGAIN) with the same complaints heard on Jan 16, followed by “Mayor de Blasio must STEP DOWN!”

Mayor de Blasio, “gentrifier-in-chief,” has designated NYC a “sanctuary city” in an effort to protect immigrants from racist and xenophobic Trump Executive Orders. For many NYC immigrants, however, our communities are under siege as we live in the instability and crisis as a result of the Mayor’s own rezoning policy that is displacing us from the very places that we seek refuge.

What a difference a day makes. These soc/commie/progs are not the friendlies from the night before.

While Trump pushes people out of the country, de Blasio pushes people out of their homes and neighborhoods, all to benefit his political aspirations and ultra-rich developers. They are two sides of the same coin: both destroy immigrant families and communities of color.

We say no more to racism and displacement! Join us to demand Mayor de Blasio step down!

There was a list of demands:

1) End racism in city planning. Pass community-based “People First” plans like the Chinatown Working Group rezoning plan.

2) End public funding for luxury development, such as 421-a. Instead; use public resources to preserve and build more permanent low-income housing.

3) Stop privatization of public land and assets.

4) Mayor de Blasio and those in City Council who also collude with developers, step down.

Displacement. Selling blocks of real estate apartments – in lower economic communities – to build higher and higher 65 story replacements. They want the displacement to stop. The graft and payments to stop.

Seems ol’ Red Bill is a bit soiled and his fellow soc/commie/progs are not happy that this “Progressive” mayor remains in office.

“Step Down de Blasio. The real estate developers are displacing NYC residents. (with the mayor’s blessing.) Racist rezoning is destroying immigrant families. That is why “Bill de Blasio must go!”  Now.

The man you see (indistinctly) in the photo above is Manhattan District Attorney Cyrus Vance Jr., who spoke before a packed crowd at the Women’s National Republican Club last night on a variety of subjects. Although the invitation I responded to billed the evening as a discussion of sanctuary cities, Vance did not address the topic until prompted by an audience member during the question and answer session, approximately 40 minutes or so after he began speaking.

I can’t say I was surprised by his reluctance to address the subject, despite its topicality. The New York County District Attorney’s office is charged with the prosecution of those who violate the laws of New York State. Those who violate federal law are prosecuted by the U.S. Attorney for the Southern District of New York-a point Mr. Vance emphasized when I pressed him on a recent decision to release a violent, self-declared member of MS-13 who was in this country illegally from prison.

That said, his office does occasionally come into contact with illegal immigrants through their encounters with the New York Police Department, which he implicitly acknowledged when he spoke of protecting the status of those who had been victims of crimes while residing in this country illegally. Putting aside the circular logic of this argument, i.e. aren’t predatory criminal aliens, such as the illegal day laborer who murdered acclaimed actress and director Adrienne Shelly, protected under the same umbrella sheltering domestic abuse victims, there is another objection to be raised. Namely, there is already a federal program, known as the U Visa, which ostensibly protects these individuals.

The idea that New York City needs to codify policy which directly conflicts with federal law in order to protect the safety of those in this country illegally is the height of absurdity. To the contrary, these directives actually imperil the lives and safety of those they ostensibly seek to protect-as well as the lives of American citizens-as those criminal aliens who abuse and terrorize their partners and children are given blanket immunity for crimes which would otherwise place them in the deportation pipeline and out of the reach of those whose lives they have destroyed. In fact, after Mr. Vance’s talk had concluded, a (legal) immigrant shared a personal anecdote with me about a hairdresser whose husband had attempted to suffocate her to death, but was allowed to remain in this country-illegally, naturally-even after being brought to the attention of the relevant authorities.

It should be said in Mr. Vance’s defense that he stated categorically that illegal aliens who had committed violent crimes should be deported, which is a far cry from Mayor De Blasio’s stance. However, it’s worth noting that the Manhattan DA is a political post, which is dependent upon the will of the voters, which in this case happened to be a group of New York Republicans. Just as his avowal of support for stop and frisk might have been downplayed before more progressive venues, it’s possible that he might have temporized even more on this subject if speaking to a group like the National Council of La Raza, or the Black, Puerto Rican, Hispanic & Asian Legislative Caucus.

Overall, the audience was surprisingly receptive to DA Vance’s message, which in retrospect probably shouldn’t have been that surprising. The Republican Party of New York City, but particularly the desiccated husk of a party which still exists in Manhattan, is run primarily by the Rockefeller and Lindsay Republicans who once exercised real power in this city and state. Adele Malpass, who delivered some introductory remarks before Cyrus Vance stepped up to the podium, praised the District Attorney’s efforts to kill a bill which would have prevented the arrest of innocent New Yorkers carrying gravity knives. I’m sure the GOP mainstay who asked him later in the evening what he was doing to crack down on gun dealers appreciated this bold stance against individual rights, but I was left rather unimpressed.

For what it’s worth, I thought the event was worthwhile, despite my many disagreements with Mr. Vance, including his apparent belief that compulsory voting, along the lines of Australia, could serve as a civic inducement. Having a public official willing to submit himself to cross-examination, however circumscribed, by the public is increasingly rare and worthy of praise. Hopefully, the officials responsible for some of the problems we encounter in this city on a daily basis will embrace this willingness to engage the public, but I won’t be holding my breath.

Update: A felony conviction rate of over 70 percent. 

The hysterical reaction among open borders fanatics to this weekend’s ICE raids merely serves to illustrate how the President’s opposition continues to not take him seriously. Despite the repeated comparisons to every tinhorn dictator, strongman and despot the world over, from Vladimir Putin to, naturally, Adolf Hitler, the people who despise Donald Trump have no faith in his ability to actually follow through on his promises. Foremost among them, the enforcement and application of federal immigration law.

These raids, which are being denounced by the usual suspects, targeted a range of individuals who should never have been allowed into this country.

About 150 of the suspects have criminal histories, including felony convictions for serious or violent offenses, according to an ICE statement. There were 10 people with no criminal history but five had orders of removal or had been previously deported.

In other words, almost every single one of the people detained was a criminal alien or alien absconder. The fact that vast swathes of the American political class is vehemently opposed to enforcing the law should give you an idea of why these types of operations-although a limited step-are absolutely necessary. One can only hope that Senator De Leon’s relatives are paying close attention to the news.

Miami-Dade is the latest city to come to the realization that Donald Trump really is President of the United States. Just like the Sheriff of Suffolk County, Carlos A. Giménez has recognized the new reality of a federal government which will actually enforce its immigration laws. The Obama cronies who were placed within the immigration bureaucracy, who used their positions to implement unconstitutional amnesties, are in the process of being purged. Of course, our own mayor has continued to insist that he will defy federal and state laws in order to ensure the safety of criminal aliens. He and other blue state partisans, as well as their accomplices in the media complex, have yet to realize that no matter how much they whine, Hillary Clinton is not President and neither is Barack Obama.

A new era is upon us.
