Of European cities which have been irrevocably transformed by mass migration from the Muslim world, Paris does not rank at the top of the list. A quarter of its population isn’t Muslim, like the gang-infested, crime-ridden former port city of Marseille, nor a fifth, like the jihadist hotbed of Roubaix. However, the outraged reaction of Francois Hollande, the lame duck prime minister of France, to President Trump’s remarks at CPAC is laughable when you consider the fact that officials in Paris have had to erect an 8 ft. wall of reinforced glass in order to protect that city’s most recognizable symbol. Leaving aside the fact that Parisiens have to endure a police state that has no parallels in post-war France, a situation prompted by the threat posed by the 6 million Muslims who reside in that country-as well as the millions more who live in neighboring nations like Belgium and Germany-there is the inescapable difference between the Paris of today and the Paris of only a few decades ago.

Why would an ordinary American want to visit a city, however beautiful certain parts may be, where hundreds of Muslims are able to shut down entire blocks of pedestrian traffic-as well as local businesses-while they publicly pray? As gauche as this may be to say in the current year, people visit European capitals to discover the roots of Western civilization, not witness inter-tribal warfare or the Islamic conquest of a once great civilization. The fact that over three-quarters of the victims of terrorist attacks in France have fallen in the 21st century should give astute observers a clue as to the trajectory of that country’s future. Whatever you may think of President Trump, or the reliability of unsourced anecdotes, the notion that the Paris of today is the jewel of Europe, that the decades of unstinting Muslim migration from the third world haven’t permanently transformed France from the nation it once was, beggars belief. Perhaps undiluted multiculturalism, open borders in perpetuity, and the gradual erosion of natural rights in the name of accommodating the world’s “fastest-growing religion” is something that you favor, but don’t try to pretend that this is not what we’re witnessing.

Despite the hope that President-elect Trump would usher in a new era of political toleration-after 1st Amendment critic Hillary Clinton’s historic loss-the fact remains that our institutions of higher learning are controlled by people who value dogma over truth. The latest illustration of this being my friend Oleg Atbashian’s arrest for wrong think on the campus of George Mason University.

Daniel Greenfield’s report-which includes Oleg’s firsthand account of his political detention-is worth reading in its entirety, as is Pamela Geller’s writeup of the incident, which points out that this is the same university which recently hired a “reformed” jihadist as an anti-terrorism scholar. This is yet another reminder that draining the swamp doesn’t merely apply to the incestuous, corrupt corporate-government alliance in Washington D.C. It is a metaphor for purging our society of the anti-freedom, anti-rational, multiculturalist dogma espoused by the regressive left. A mindset which, unfortunately, predominates within our cultural institutions.

Oleg’s arrest is merely the latest volley in an unceasing campaign to crush any dissent from the cultural Marxism which has seeped throughout the core of our civilization. He lived the first 4 decades of his life in a nation whose vitality had been hollowed out by Communism. Surrounded by people who had been infected by soul mange, whose personal morality and ethic had been eroded by living in a society built upon lies, which is why he became an American. We can’t let the same process unfold here.

The idea that the latest all-American jihadi acted alone defies credulity, so it’s no surprise that authorities are already investigating the possibility he was part of a terror cell. The bizarre, impromptu press conference held by the perpetrator’s father merely adds to suspicions that Ahmad Khan’s jihadist intentions were known before this weekend’s terror jaunt across the Tri-State Area. Some of the best coverage has, unsurprisingly, come from overseas.

This article in the Daily Mail explores some aspects of this story which are being curiously underplayed, including the fact that the terrorist in custody tried to bring his Pakistani wife to the United States-something he has in common with David Headley, the architect of the Mumbai massacre and thwarted Jyllands Posten assassination plot. This case is also reminiscent of the Omar Mateen fiasco in the sense that the FBI had previously investigated Ahmad Khan for possible links to terrorism, but apparently those concerns were allayed when his father said, “my bad, my son’s not really a murderous jihadi,” to paraphrase.

The fact that Khan visited Pakistan several times without attracting the notice of federal authorities only serves to highlight the gross ineptitude of our government. Yet instead of reevaluating our country’s masochistic immigration policies-and hat’s off to this Saudi newspaper for crafting a more accurate headline than anything coming from the American press-we have public officials and pundits calling for the curtailment of rights belonging to actual Americans. For the record, in addition to mistakenly granting citizenship to 800 aliens with deportation orders, our government has also taken in over 2,000 Afghan refugees this year.

How exactly is funneling more money to a federal agency whose inability to investigate domestic Islamic terrorism is legendary, and whose failures are manifold, going to ensure Americans safety? Keep in mind, this is the same FBI which caused former Marine Brandon Raub to be thrown into a mental institution because of controversial rap lyrics he posted online, even as it gave Omar Mateen a clean bill of health and said the architect of the San Bernardino massacre was not on its radar.

Although the FBI diligently targets those who threaten to tarnish the shield, forcing out talented agents who could prevent atrocities like 9/11, it rewards this country’s sworn enemies. The answer to our terrorism is not to empower unaccountable bureaucracies which don’t even recognize what America is-and have no interest in ensuring our safety, much less preserving the American way of life. Contrary to the neoconservative scribes at National Review, Islam does not have a problem. We have an Islam problem, and it’s time that we start addressing it.

If you find yourself in a hole, stop digging.

For those of you who needed confirmation that gleeful Nazi accomplice and evil billionaire George Soros is a real-life, Hungarian version of Emperor Palpatine, wait no more! According to a leaked memo from his Open Society Foundation, the man whose chief source of protein is human misery believes Europeans should accept the refugee crisis, i.e. effacement of their civilization, as the “new normal.” Congratulations, Germany, France, Sweden, and the rest of Western and central Europe, you have decades of taharrush, unexpected jihadist violence, and random crime to look forward to. Don’t forget the trillions of dollars lavished upon new Europeans who will never be able to reciprocate the favor for very obvious reasons.

Imploding welfare states? Endless civil strife which never existed prior to this grand social experiment? Increasing militarization of civil society and diminution of fundamental liberties? A wholesale reversal of the values cemented during the Age of the Enlightenment? Well, that’s just collateral damage in the war for vibrant diversity, isn’t it? Thank you, Francois Hollande. Thank you Pope Francis, Angela Merkel, and Tony Blair. I’m sure future generations of Europeans will realize what a small price to pay these sacrifices were for a world where the Crypt Keeper can ball out for a wedding ceremony to his 40 year-old gold digger, i.e. wife.

So far Swiss authorities have not come to the conclusion that the stabbing spree/arson attack on train passengers was linked to terrorism. Then again, we should recall that German and Scandinavian law enforcement have engaged in a systemic coverup of migrant sexual violence and crime against indigenous Europeans. Of course, it’s entirely possible that this attack is simply an isolated outbreak of psychotic violence, a la the man who murdered over a hundred people on a South Korean subway. However, if this was indeed another example of Islamic terrorism, it would fit what social scientists, in any other context, would describe as a pattern. Unfortunately, patterns don’t exist when we’re discussing the regressive left’s rabid pets, which are invariably described as lone wolves, no matter how many of them exist.

In news closer to home, a Bengali imam and his assistant were murdered in Ozone Park, a neighborhood previously known as the bailiwick of John Gotti Sr.-the former head of the Gambino crime family-but which has changed demographically since the Don of the Gambinos held sway. When I first heard about this crime, I immediately thought of Rashad Khalifa, an imam in Arizona who was assassinated by the man who would become Osama Bin Laden’s secretary. Despite the many misleading claims about rampant Islamophobia within the West-the NPR story describing the killings of these mosque officials among them-the truth is that the number of Muslims being victimized expressly because of their religious beliefs amounts to a rounding error in most non-Muslim, Western societies. If you read a story about an imam being killed, chances are that the crime was committed by a co-religionist. If you hear a breathless news report about a mosque in the United States being attacked, it’s more than likely a pre-fabricated hoax.

Yes, there are Muslims who are legitimate victims of crime in our society, just like there are Christians, Jews, Hindus, Sikhs, and atheists who fall victim to malicious individuals. But these crimes are committed by fundamentally damaged individuals whose motivations do not spring from some deep-seated hatred of Muslims. We should also remember that criticism is not crime, despite the increasing criminalization of dissent. Pointing out the incompatibility of Islam with Western norms, or the stupidity of importing millions of unassimilable Muslim settlers from the Middle East does not make you an accomplice to murder. Regardless of whether the perpetrator of this horrific crime was  a disgruntled Muslim, a Hispanic, or a white Christian, any attempt to transpose blame upon Donald Trump is despicable. However, it’s completely in keeping with the modus operandi of CAIR, which is, after all, an offshoot of the Muslim Brotherhood.

As loathsome as CAIR  and all it represents is, we can all agree that the perpetrator of this crime, regardless of motive, should be brought to justice as swiftly as possible.

It’s difficult to keep track of developments on the Brexit front, as news seems to be breaking nearly every minute. However, I’d like to provide you with some of the more useful observations about what has occurred in the UK and across the globe since Thursday. One of the most important questions, of course, is what happens next. As others have pointed out, this was a non-binding referendum and there is theoretically nothing preventing a Europhile political class from simply ignoring the will of the people. In fact, that is precisely the course some Labour MPs are suggesting Westminster take. Although these sentiments won’t be voiced publicly by many, the contempt the Labour Party’s political representatives  have for the people they purportedly represent is unmistakable. Nothing illustrates this more vividly than the campaign to sack Jeremy Corbyn for being insufficiently supportive of an institution that over 17 million Britons detest.

And while Hillary comforts herself by repeating the mantra that America is not the United Kingdom, the truth is that political fallout from Brexit will be felt throughout the globe, which includes the United States. What occurred in Great Britain is a stunning, remarkable defeat of the global left-one which everyone on the right, wherever you live, should rejoice in-but it’s even more significant than that. It’s a defeat for the political philosophy of globalism, the insidious idea that we would all be better off as deracinated cosmopolites stripped of our cultural patrimony-including our God-given right to speak our minds, even if it offends the religion of grievance.

Those who’ve profited from this philosophy are rightly terrified, and their hysteria will only increase as they realize that they are completely unequipped to roll back this revolution. A revolution that, as both Peter Hitchens and Daniel Greenfield have pointed out, was led by a new coalition that consists of disenfranchised Old Labour and Conservative voters. Individuals whose will has been, and continues to be, ignored by their representatives, but who have finally found their voice. Perhaps that voice is unsettling to toffs like Owen Jones because it sounds like Tommy Robinson-or a close approximation thereof-but it’s the voice of Great Britain and it needs to be respected.

This is a country which has just accomplished something extraordinary. It has begun to crack the foundation of soft totalitarianism which has governed Europe for nearly half a century. It started the restoration of freedom and self-government which has been the hallmark of the United Kingdom for nearly 8 centuries. Even those who left the UK when the European Project appeared invincible can take pride in what their countrymen have accomplished. This is an historic moment, and it cannot be wasted. The British have reaffirmed their heritage, it’s time for the rest of the world to follow.

Although there have been numerous global jihadist assaults since my last post-including an unsuccessful attack carried out by a Somali Muslim immigrant in a Texas town forced to accept the resettlement of refugees and the beheading of a Canadian hostage taken by Abu Sayyaf-it’s worth reflecting upon the atrocity which took place at the Pulse nightclub in Orlando. Not simply because of the staggering toll-you can read the stories of those who were killed here-but because the post-Orlando political climate is a reflection of our bizarre national discourse at the moment.

While a courageous few are willing to speak truth to power-in the face of censorship by those who feel that the violence of Islam will evaporate once its critics are erased-our esteemed leaders continue to value their narrative of vibrant diversity over real human lives. The only way to combat this disease-which not only threatens our lives but our hard-won freedoms-is to confront it head-on. Share this video-as well that of Milo’s press conference, which begins 12 minutes in-and begin to challenge the insidious lies which ignore a mountain of corpses.

This month saw the admission of a record number of Syrian refugees to the United States. Nearly 500, according to the State Department Refugee Processing Center. Perhaps unsurprisingly, every single one is a Muslim. 10 Christians, in toto, have been admitted to the U.S. for FY 2016, which saw the importation of over 2,200 Syrian refugees. Although it has gotten little press outside of Christian publications, and what coverage it has received has been deliberately misleading, the fact that our government is turning its back on Christians is an inescapable truth.

Aren’t there some prosperous Gulf Arab states which could support the needs of these desperate Sunni Muslim refugees? Of course there are, but they refuse to take them. They refuse to take them for a number of reasons, but I can’t help but think that one of them is the complete silence North American and European media outlets, i.e. propaganda vehicles, have greeted this stunning lack of generosity on the part of Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, and the like. While we are regularly treated to sickeningly self-righteous homilies on OUR responsibility towards these exiles from Syria, rarely do we hear voices condemning the stunning hypocrisy and venality of wealthy, Sunni Muslim nations who’ve turned their backs on their brothers and sisters.

For honest reports about the State Department’s plans to take a wrecking ball to communities throughout the country, check out the citizen testimony forwarded to Refugee Resettlement Watch, which has been doing what the Fourth Estate adamantly refuses to, i.e. telling the truth. For the record, this is the State Department that actively discriminates against Christians seeking sanctuary, despite the fact that they have nowhere else to turn  within their own region, where they are mercilessly persecuted for their faith. A faith which predates the advent of Islam by 7 centuries.

Unlike those who make it to Germany, the Christians seeking shelter in the United States don’t even have the opportunity to be persecuted by their Muslim antagonists. We’re doing that job for them. Shameful.

This week’s thwarting of a plot to behead Pamela Geller by a jihadist cell in Massachusetts might have surprised those of you who aren’t familiar with the deep roots that Islamists have sunk into the Bay State. Even though the Boston Marathon bombing by the Tsarnaev brothers has shed some light on this disturbing phenomenon, leading some to investigate links the Islamic Society of Boston has to Islamic terrorists operating both domestically and overseas, there is still a lack of awareness among the general public about this threat. 

That’s why the work of patriotic, anti-Islamic extremist organizations like Americans for Peace and Tolerance is so vital at this moment. Created by anti-slavery, pro-Israel activist Dr. Charles Jacobs, APT has spent many years educating the public about the dangers posed by extremist clerics preaching envenomed sermons at local mosques in Boston and surrounding suburbs, even if it has meant bucking entrenched political and religious interests in order to alert citizens to the threats within their midst.

While the deceased jihadist might have been supported by Islamic State actors outside of the United States, we need to discover who and what prompted him to begin this journey, and whether or not the focus of this investigation should include the mosque whose alumni read like a Who’s Who of ambitious jihadis.
