“Dump de Blasio Now!” was the rallying cry of the Citywide Alliance Against Displacement as they demonstrated outside New York’s City Hall.

I’ve covered a few of these very small protests, aware that this particular consortium is not mainstream Democrat, but farther to the left.   They are collectivists and communists.  These are Mayor de Blasio and Councilwoman Margaret Chin’s political and social comrades. YET, the consortium has a beef — a BIG on-going complaint when it comes to New York City real estate. All is not copacetic when it comes to the very personal issues of hearth and home.

Displacement by an ever changing city will always affect someone. Old buildings come down making way for new ones. Cities grow. But, who decides what is acceptable displacement?  Are these real estate deals motivated only about greed for gtraft. Is progressive change only possible when it isn’t PERSONAL?

Scary words, “We are from the government and we’ve come to ….TAKE your home – or business.” No one wants to be on the short end of that directive. It’s ALWAYS personal for someone.

The Lower East Side and Bronx consortium remains VERY unhappy with their comrades in City Hall, demanding — again — that Mayor de Blasio and Council woman Margaret Chin STEP DOWN. They want nothing less.

Having no desire to see de Balsio re-elected, I am feeling no sympathy for “Red Bill”.  Schadenfreude perhaps, as they eat their own.

The rhetoric was sharp:

“De Blasio pushes people out of their homes and neighborhoods to benefit his political aspirations and ultra-rich developers (…) destroying immigrant families and communities of color. We say no more to racism and displacement!” 

Mayor de Blasio, “gentrifier-in-chief,” has designated NYC a “sanctuary city” in an effort to protect immigrants from racist and xenophobic Trump Executive Orders.

For many NYC immigrants, however, our communities are under siege as we live in the instability and crisis as a result of the Mayor’s own rezoning policy that is displacing us from the very places that we seek refuge.

The Progressive NYC Council complained:

[De Blasio] continues to put profit before people, abandoning small business to follow Bloomberg’s Real Estate Agenda. Our New York City elected officials need to stop looking for band-aid solutions and start serving their communities.

1) End racism in city planning. Pass community-based “People First” plans like the Chinatown Working Group rezoning plan.

2) End public funding for luxury development, such as 421-a. Instead; use public resources to preserve and build more permanent low-income housing.

3) Stop privatization of public land and assets.

4) Mayor de Blasio and those in City Council who also collude with developers, step down. Dump de Blasio Now!

El Barrio NY was upset with the Mayor:

Mayor de Blasio’s plan for constructing an additional 300,000 apartments for the city’s growing future is hidden under the fact that the NYC’s Homeless population has grown along with the administration’s false promises to provide real affordable housing to NYC’s vulnerable households. The disparity between rich and poor was a highlight of campaign speeches gravitating popular support to the current administration as a compassionate progressive movement.

Mayor de Blasio continues to ignore community outcry against his pro-developer and racist development agenda. In East Harlem, he continues to push a rezoning that will destroy the historic Latino community, one of the last working class communities in Upper Manhattan. In Chinatown and the Lower East Side, community members uncovered that the de Blasio administration and local councilwoman Margaret Chin lied to the community about three mega-tower developments being built on the waterfront. The City is violating its own zoning laws by allowing these developments to move forward.

It is clear that the developers who stand to benefit the most from the Mayor’s actions are those who have contributed heavily to his re-election, like Harold Fetner of Fetner Properties, JDS, Extell and many others.  The Mayor has turned a blind eye to the mass scale displacement New Yorkers are experiencing, to enrich the real estate campaign donors.  New Yorkers throughout the city say: Stop selling our city to developers and protect our communities from displacement.

First up, a the displacement of minorities that comes from within the very leftward government that runs NYC: not genocidal, but racist and profit-motivated. The merits of which are constantly being challenged by this consortium.

April 26, 2017. 3:30 pm. The LES (Lower East Side) consortium  of leftists, socialists and Communists were protesting real estate buy-outs and demanding the resignation of Comrades De Blasio and Chin.

Protest after protest, Mayor “Red Bill”  and Council Member, Margaret Chin have ignored their demands. Amid cries of racism, the residents feel there is no place for them in the De Blasio/Chin LES. And they might be correct.

Media Advisory says: “Chin – launched her own limited rezoning for Chinatown – excluding Latins, Blacks and other Asians from land use protections; destroying our communities; pitting Asian Americans, Blacks and Latinos against each other.” [Video]

Who is right. Wrong. Old buildings eventually come down. Is it necessary to eliminate the status quo? Is it inconvenient for them to remain in their communities?

Which takes me next to the Armenian Genocide Commemoration.

For the 100 year anniversary in 2015 there was a much larger gathering. But, large or small, each year’s theme is the same: NEVER FORGET.

The Muslim Turkish Government’s attempt to wipe the Armenian people off the planet was genocide and Hitler admired what the Turks nearly accomplished. This was his template used against the Jews of Europe – his Final Solution – GENOCIDE.

Sen. Chuck Schumer spoke, as he seems to do every year, addressing the collective Armenian trauma and Turkey’s refusal to acknowledge the sins of their fathers.

Which brings me to my final entry: the 25th Anniversary of the world acceptance of Falun Dafa, accepted by al…except China! May 12 , 2017  was World Falun Dafa Day.  [Video]

I happened upon their parade at 42nd st. and 10th ave. Colorful. Joyful. Impressive. Banner after banner. They really are world-wide.

Their message: Falun Dafa Is Good.  A peaceful meditation that CHINA has decided is so EVIL that Falun Dafa practitioners must be eradicated. (Genocide)

This was a long parade. Never did see the end of it. Saw banner after banner representing countries around the world where Falun Dafa are accepted (but not in China). In China they are still harassed, imprisoned, murdered.

It seemed the NYPD was redirecting the parade away from the Chinese Consulate on 12th avenue. Odd since the Tibetans protest there regularly. Whatever, the Falun Dafa marched toward the Consulate in celebration and protest.

The LES Chinatown real estate situation is obviously not the Armenian and Falun Dafa genocides. But, the tyranny of government can go easily from real estate adventure, to eminent domain, to removing a whole people, leading to genocidal consequences.

Every time the free world attempts to protect itself from the one-world Islamic anschluss of terrorism and domination we are badgered with cries of racism, xenophobia, or even more ridiculously, Nazi. Who is right?  Who decides. Who wins?

Hitler. Stalin. China. Turkey. Geographically specific horrors. But Islamic domination and genocide is a worldwide horror. It’s here. It’s now. There are a lot of interesting stories making their way into the headlines of local-for those of us living in New York City-news. Critically, a dispute has emerged between Mayor Bill De Blasio and City Council Speaker Viverito, who wants to continue to provide violent, criminal aliens with publicly-funded attorneys. This is the plan originally supported by De Blasio before the absurdity of this position was highlighted by current mayoral candidate Nicole Malliotakis. This division once again demonstrates the lengths open borders advocates will go to defend illegal immigration, regardless of the human cost.

Ms. Viverito isn’t the only member of the New York City Council to stand by a seemingly untenable position. As The Daily Beacon points out, Jumaane Williams has accused critics of sharia devotee and Internet tough guy Linda Sarsour of being members of the alt right. In other words, supporting gender equality, opposing Islamic terrorism, and being an advocate for Western values makes you a white supremacist. Who knew?!

An actual bigot might have been arrested in Manhattan, where a man who allegedly attacked an Asian man has been charged with third-degree assault.

In odd news, a Staten Island man has been hospitalized after being bitten by a poisonous East African gaboon viper. After being bitten, the individual proceeded to cut his pet’s head off. As someone who once had the much more prosaic-and less lethal-garter snake, I can attest to the difficulty of caring for these reptiles. My advice to those who are tempted to own an illegal, potentially deadly snake is…don’t.

FIRST up (for me) was the Noonish March For Health, NYC.

However, it was not at Trump Tower as expected.

Nope, I found them at Fifth Avenue and 58th, in front of the Apple Store. (A location the NYPD is using more and more) just as they were leaving their pen.

They were marching  across Central Park South to Central Park West (and 61st). [Another location now preferred by the NYPD]

Had to run to catch them since this was no slow procession.

Nope. This was a FAST march past Central Park.

Once I caught up, I found a few pithy signs, but you had to be quick to read or take a picture or take a picture of them. Geez, this was one serious speed walk/march for your health.

Once at 61st, the March For Health had arranged speakers. But these speeches would surely hold no surprises.

SO …. I headed back for the second protest, aka, “parade”. Billed as “The 32nd Annual April Fools’ Parade: “Make Russia Great Again“.

Claiming to be the largest gathering of Trump Look-a-likes. Not by a LONG shot. This was the parade …with just a smattering of Trump masks.

It was pretty lame and tame, this FOOLS’ Day Parade.

Except for the TRUMP OUT HOUSE. That was a winner. Potty humor and the cameras went wild.

Oh yes, and there was an unexpected guest …. a familiar Trump supporter. With his Trump in 2020 flag held high, he greeted the “parade” as they arrived at Trump Tower.

I took a few more pictures, listened to the 2020 Trump guy respond as the April fools challenged his veracity and intelligence.

Finally the APRIL FOOLS’ “Parade” marched slowly down Fifth Ave to Washington Square; SLOWLY thanks to an awkwardly mobile outhouse.

Not expecting Washington Sq. to be much more exciting , I went inside Trump Tower, scanned and approved, for a brief respite in our NYC “White House.”

Next Stop – 2 pm. Black Lives Matter and their comrades-in-red gathered in Herald Square. Today, they demanded an END to Trump and de Blasio’s War on Black People. (Like this was a new topic of protest.)

Found the ubiquitous NYC Soc/Commie/Leftists approaching from 32nd St.

Signs held high. Purveyors of Anarchy. Promoters of Racism.

FULL of unmasked hatred for our police and ICE

And, of course, white people. If you are Black or Brown: Resist. Insurrection.

Like many Marxist-led protests this crowd was comprised of many 20-somethings. Reseeding their stock. (The guy in brown sweatshirt tried to talk sense to them.)

Smugly snookered into shilling for violence in our streets. DEAF and BLIND to all logic. ABOLISH the NYPD! Yeah, that’s the ticket.

On the heels of the Rockville rape, which prompted local Democrats to propose a bill that would make their city a sanctuary city, Virginians are dealing with the brutal murder of a teenager at the hands of 3 criminal aliens. Governor McAuliffe has claimed he wants those who commit serious criminal offenses to be deported, although it makes you wonder what he considers to be a serious criminal offense. If serious crimes are as narrow in scope as what Mayor De Blasio has defined, then these comments are anything but reassuring.

The man you see (indistinctly) in the photo above is Manhattan District Attorney Cyrus Vance Jr., who spoke before a packed crowd at the Women’s National Republican Club last night on a variety of subjects. Although the invitation I responded to billed the evening as a discussion of sanctuary cities, Vance did not address the topic until prompted by an audience member during the question and answer session, approximately 40 minutes or so after he began speaking.

I can’t say I was surprised by his reluctance to address the subject, despite its topicality. The New York County District Attorney’s office is charged with the prosecution of those who violate the laws of New York State. Those who violate federal law are prosecuted by the U.S. Attorney for the Southern District of New York-a point Mr. Vance emphasized when I pressed him on a recent decision to release a violent, self-declared member of MS-13 who was in this country illegally from prison.

That said, his office does occasionally come into contact with illegal immigrants through their encounters with the New York Police Department, which he implicitly acknowledged when he spoke of protecting the status of those who had been victims of crimes while residing in this country illegally. Putting aside the circular logic of this argument, i.e. aren’t predatory criminal aliens, such as the illegal day laborer who murdered acclaimed actress and director Adrienne Shelly, protected under the same umbrella sheltering domestic abuse victims, there is another objection to be raised. Namely, there is already a federal program, known as the U Visa, which ostensibly protects these individuals.

The idea that New York City needs to codify policy which directly conflicts with federal law in order to protect the safety of those in this country illegally is the height of absurdity. To the contrary, these directives actually imperil the lives and safety of those they ostensibly seek to protect-as well as the lives of American citizens-as those criminal aliens who abuse and terrorize their partners and children are given blanket immunity for crimes which would otherwise place them in the deportation pipeline and out of the reach of those whose lives they have destroyed. In fact, after Mr. Vance’s talk had concluded, a (legal) immigrant shared a personal anecdote with me about a hairdresser whose husband had attempted to suffocate her to death, but was allowed to remain in this country-illegally, naturally-even after being brought to the attention of the relevant authorities.

It should be said in Mr. Vance’s defense that he stated categorically that illegal aliens who had committed violent crimes should be deported, which is a far cry from Mayor De Blasio’s stance. However, it’s worth noting that the Manhattan DA is a political post, which is dependent upon the will of the voters, which in this case happened to be a group of New York Republicans. Just as his avowal of support for stop and frisk might have been downplayed before more progressive venues, it’s possible that he might have temporized even more on this subject if speaking to a group like the National Council of La Raza, or the Black, Puerto Rican, Hispanic & Asian Legislative Caucus.

Overall, the audience was surprisingly receptive to DA Vance’s message, which in retrospect probably shouldn’t have been that surprising. The Republican Party of New York City, but particularly the desiccated husk of a party which still exists in Manhattan, is run primarily by the Rockefeller and Lindsay Republicans who once exercised real power in this city and state. Adele Malpass, who delivered some introductory remarks before Cyrus Vance stepped up to the podium, praised the District Attorney’s efforts to kill a bill which would have prevented the arrest of innocent New Yorkers carrying gravity knives. I’m sure the GOP mainstay who asked him later in the evening what he was doing to crack down on gun dealers appreciated this bold stance against individual rights, but I was left rather unimpressed.

For what it’s worth, I thought the event was worthwhile, despite my many disagreements with Mr. Vance, including his apparent belief that compulsory voting, along the lines of Australia, could serve as a civic inducement. Having a public official willing to submit himself to cross-examination, however circumscribed, by the public is increasingly rare and worthy of praise. Hopefully, the officials responsible for some of the problems we encounter in this city on a daily basis will embrace this willingness to engage the public, but I won’t be holding my breath.

Miami-Dade is the latest city to come to the realization that Donald Trump really is President of the United States. Just like the Sheriff of Suffolk County, Carlos A. Giménez has recognized the new reality of a federal government which will actually enforce its immigration laws. The Obama cronies who were placed within the immigration bureaucracy, who used their positions to implement unconstitutional amnesties, are in the process of being purged. Of course, our own mayor has continued to insist that he will defy federal and state laws in order to ensure the safety of criminal aliens. He and other blue state partisans, as well as their accomplices in the media complex, have yet to realize that no matter how much they whine, Hillary Clinton is not President and neither is Barack Obama.

A new era is upon us.

If there’s anything more infuriating than our government’s willful negligence towards its citizens, it’s our news media’s insistence  upon obscuring the truth in pursuit of its virulent ideology. Why do I need to go to the website of a Trinidadian newspaper in order to discover the identity of a murderer living in my own city?! Under the protection, it should be noted, of  a man who insists upon destroying information that could lead to the apprehension of criminal aliens, including potential murderers and rapists! All because these criminals happen to belong to that protected Democratic class known as illegal immigrants.

Bill De Blasio is scum, Andrew Cuomo is scum, and there are not words to describe the creature who committed this crime-which would be punishable by death if we lived in a just society. However, there is no scum more noxious, more dangerous to our civilization, than the ghouls who didn’t see fit to identify why Alastasia Bryan was murdered in the first paragraph, if not the headline, of the story reporting her killing. Just remember, whenever you pick up a paper, watch a cable news program, or click upon a link from a website owned by media conglomerate, you are being lied to!

And the victims of these lies are soon forgotten by the general public. The Dominic Durdens, the Sarah Roots, the Adrienne Shellys, the Bologna family, Jamiel Shaw Jr., and Alastasia Bryan. You might all remember their names, but how many people remember why they’re no longer with us? As we head into the new year, we must recognize who the true enemy is. It’s not Donald Trump, nor Vladimir Putin, Pat McCrory, or whatever chimerical figure of hate the vultures who control the flow of information are trying to con the public into fixating our energies upon. Our enemies are those who are crafting these narratives in order to distract us from solving our nation’s most dire problems. The mainstream media should never be trusted. They are scum. As long as we don’t recognize that-and adapt to fight them-we will have more victims of monsters like Keon Richmond to mourn.

Yesterday one of America’s worst mayors met the President-elect for a friendly chat about the hundreds of thousands of illegal aliens living in this city. The most striking aspect of this meeting is the hubris of Bill de Blasio, someone who thinks he can make demands of an incoming President who was elected upon a platform of enforcing the law. Even worse than the insinuation that illegal aliens should enjoy blanket immunity is the threat to destroy the personal records of illegal immigrants who applied for IDNYC. This is simply another illustration of the civic corruption which is hollowing out America’s cities-and by extension, the country-through illegal immigration.

And even as Mayor de Blasio trumpets the news of prefabricated hate hoaxes, many of which have already been discredited, he staffs his administration with officials who revel in their bigotry and hatred of certain races. The galling hypocrisy of the left, its inability to acknowledge reality-even when it literally runs them over-and its disjuncture from causality are all reasons why the Democrats were electorally destroyed in this election. The fact that they continue to resist the law of the land and refuse to abandon their completely discredited narratives merely serves to illustrate how little they’ve learned over the past week.

We might be in for a long 4 years.
