I think you are correct. The writer is too caught up in expressively demonstrating his intellect and breeding. He is not focused on being the next Thomas Paine!

We need Tom Paines righ now!! Men and women who can motivate their fellows to action, not to wading through verbosity.

I am glad you ultimately liked what he wrote. I see your point in that perhaps his style of writing and the words he used may have been a bit over the top for most readers. I get it, as I try to do it sometimes, too (but not as well as him!). I think some of us are unconsciously channeling George Orwell and we are trying to not only preserve the English language (vs. the Borg/collectivist soundbites now being used via Twitter, et al.) but we are also attempting to use it to its fullest extent to render ideas in such a manner that there can be no misinterpretation and no question regarding position or intent. The English language is my weapon of choice and I will continue to use it as my sword and shield amidst the escalating battle between dark and light, right and left, etc. Hope you are having a lovely day. Is is it any wonder Trump is doing so well! Compared to the mealy mouthed Rinos, a veritable who’s who of republican party leadership, so called leaders who are more afraid taking the fight to the left,but have no problem cow-towing to them out of fear of their masters on the left, than actually being true leaders of the right! Yeah Trump can be over the top but compared to some of the darlings of the left, he’s no worse,and it’s good to see somebody on our side giving them hell for a change!

I like the basics of what this author has written, but he is trying to be just a little too wordy while trying to impress us with his education. But then again when reading what he has written I see that he has some serious editing problems which implies he believes more in his wording than he does about making his writing intelligible.
