True to form, Governor Chris Christie has appointed a pliant crony to the seat vacated by the death of Frank Lautenberg. However, New Jersey voters will have a choice on October 16th as to who will represent them in the U.S. Senate. This is the perfect opportunity to challenge the dismal GOP establishment and moribund New Jersey GOP. Steve Lonegan, a genuinely grassroots conservative and crusader against the onerous tax burden his state’s lawmakers have imposed upon their constituents, has already announced his candidacy.
