Reaching Out

One thing that can’t be said of Americans is that we lack generosity. We are, in fact, some of the most generous people on the planet. A vivid illustration of this characteristic munificence is the outpouring of help from people  living throughout the country who’ve responded to the needs of New Yorkers devastated by Hurricane Sandy. But this generosity has also been exhibited by New Yorkers themselves.

A case in point is Heritage Baptist Church, a ministry in the heart of Manhattan which is reaching out to residents of Far Rockaway this Saturday.

A friend of mine has filled up a trailer with cleaning supplies, laundry detergent, warm blankets, socks and much more and is coming to Far Rockaway this Saturday November 17, at around 11 AM. We will stage from the Daycare Center of Leon and Lintia Lyons at 221 Beach 44 Street.
